SRP603443 Battery, [2025 Upgraded] 1800mAh High Capacity Li-Polymer Battery Replacement Compatible with Astro A50 Series Wireless Gaming Headset with Tool Repair Kits

Bought this to replace the dead battery in my old Gen 2 Astro A50's. Mine had to be plugged in to use, kinda defeats the point of a wireless headset. It doesn't specifically say it'll work for the Gen 2's, but it fit perfectly. You need to disassemble the left headphone(side with microphone) from the earmuff side. DO NOT TRY TO PRY OFF THE OUTSIDE COVER, it is attached with screws from inside the headphone housing not clips. There are also 2 screws hidden under the speaker mesh, you'll have to peel it back in the 2 top corners to reveal them. Minor soldering required, but it's 3 simple attachment points. All-in including cleaning this was about a 20 minute job from start to finish. And now my old A50's function perfectly with much more battery life than they ever would've had new. $11 well spent.

Replaced and headset instantly started working on battery power when I had to keep it plugged in before due to old battery dying. Easy to replace if you have some previous soldering experience on circuit boards. If not watch some YouTube for the headset disassembly and soldering. Will edit review later if the battery doesn't hold up but so far it's great.

Battery fit fine, the only issue was they used a white wire instead of a yellow wire but it should be obvious since black and red are still the same. We'll see if its actually 1800 mah though, i doubt it.

Only lasts an hr after a full charge all night….

Battery fit fine, tool kit is nice for someone without tools. This does require soldering.I got this to replace my oem battery in my astro a50 purchased four years ago. I use these headphones every day for hours so naturally the battery life has decreased.This replacement lasts the same as the four year old battery about 10 hours with the mic off.

I was going out of my mind having my headset fail, didnt charge on the base, sometimes it will charge connected directly to the usb port but will only last about 2 or 3 hours after charniging all night.Bough this and went to a local technician to do it, as it required a bit of welding. working perfeclty now as new.No need to upgrade, astro a40 g4 are great.
