Smooth sailing.
A high end chair had some awful plastic casters. These not only dressed up the appearance, but roll fantastic. And they are QUIET!!!

A huge improvement over the usual dual-wheel plastic casters.
I have several venerable Herman Miller office chairs. These have been around for twenty years or more. They still look like new and are super comforatble. The casters were begininng to show their age though. These roller blade style casters with their added height, (more than an inch compared to the original casters on my chairs) do increase the lowest height the chair can be adjusted to, so beware of that. But if that isn't an issue, the larger wheel diameter and the compliant urethane wheel construction make for a big improvement in mobility. My home office has both laminate flooring and some area rugs that are close nap pretty similar to most commeercial carpeting. I love the fact that I can roll onto a carpeted area from the laminate floor effortlessly with no chance of the carpet bunching where the wheel encounters the edge of the carpet. This was not possible with the smaller diameter original casters. Plus, the rolling effort is much much lower. The clear urethane wheels don't leave marks. The construction is solid. I just ordered another set.

Roll great on carpet
These wheels are awesome. They roll so smooth and they the even roll well on my bedroom carpet which is not a low pile carpet. They took like 5 mins to install. Popped the old wheels out, popped the new wheels in. Easy peasy. Wish I would have done this months ago. 10/10 recommend.

Wow! What a Difference!
In setting up my home office (or as my family calls it, my corner of the basement), I decided I needed to do something about the wheels on my office chair. Between the cement and age of the base of the chair, the old wheels were okay, but definitely showing their age. (I have a custom built chair from a reclaimed Volvo car seat.)Before I go further: to be honest about the review, I actually changed two things in this upgrade. One was the wheels, and one was laying down a 6x6 foot linoleum tile place for the chair.Okay, back to the wheels. Installation was almost too easy. I never look at instructions unless I am stumped. I was expecting removing the old wheels would require loosening a bolt or something. I couldn't find one. Then I read the instructions that came with the new wheels. "Just pull out the old wheel." It couldn't be that easy? Could it? Yes, it was that easy. I simply pulled out old wheels (although it took a little shaking of the wheel to loosen it). The next step was simply pushing the new wheels back in. It took me less time to change the wheels then I spent trying to figure out that I need to read the instructions. So, how do they roll? Too well. Seriously, rolling the chair is almost effortless on the linoleum. Because of how smooth and easy they roll, I have already discovered one "issue." It's not bad, it is just learning. Don't try to reach for something too far away. Roll to it and then grab it. The first time I tried to overreach, I discovered that the chair had so limit friction that it decided to slide out from me. Nothing wounded but my pride.

Much better than the usual crappy office chair wheels AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
I think we've all had the experience of a bunch of junk getting caught up in the office chair rollers so that the chair either won't roll at all or is just jerky. Anyone with spinal issues will tell you it is agony to move a chair like that around, it's just easier to get up which sort of defeats the purpose. I'm going to suggest to the local office supply chain that they stock these because I have no doubt they'll sell out as fast as they get them in. They're not hard to install, the toughest part was getting the old ones off, you'll need a substantial flat blade screwdriver and perhaps channel locks and a small hammer if you get a stubborn one, after that just push the new ones in the holes and you're done. The first time you put weight on the chair you might feel the wheels seat fully but that's only the first time. Be aware these wheels are a few inches taller than the stock plastic crap wheels so you might need to adjust your chair down a little farther than it was with the old wheels. They roll smooth as silk and should not get all tied up with anything floating around the floor. I sew and as hard as I try pieces of thread always end up on the floor and get tangled up in the old style wheels plus dog likes to tear up stuff and sometimes little pieces of that end up in there as well. Some might say the price was steep but when you need to roll around in your chair and have a bad back you won't say that at all. Wish I'd found these earlier. I knew somebody had to have invented something. These are standard stem size be sure to check with your chair manufacturer to make sure they aren't one of the few weird sizes out there before you buy them. Update: Still really enjoying mine but I have found one thing on the floor that will confound them a little and that's thick paper or cardboard. These wheels tend to get hung on the edge so if the chair hangs up there's probably some cardboard on the floor no biggie. Also watch out for critter tails doggy stays well away now since the tail was nearly rolled on the other day, lol.

Easy to install, smooth to use!
Originally bought this to raise the seat height by a tiny bit as my Steelcase Leap V2’s seat gas cylinder piston was dragging on the floor with the smaller and shorter castors.Impressed with the smoothness and soundless of these wheels and they were easy to install as well. Highly recommended!

Silent and Easy to Install
I recently moved into a place with hardwood floors and decided to replace the standard casters on our office chairs with these rollerblade wheels. Until then I was using unsightly floor protector mats to stop the casters from scratching the floorboards.I was initially hesitant since the rollerblade wheels aren't exactly cheap, and I wasn't sure whether they would actually fit my chairs. I ordered three sets as a test. Well, they fit perfectly - it was a simple matter of pulling off the old casters and pushing in the new ones. These wheels are silent and smooth. Absolutely fantastic! I was so impressed that I have now ordered another three sets for the rest of my office chairs.Only one thing to bear in mind is that the wheels are taller than standard casters, so you may need to lower the height of your seat after installing.

Perfect for fixing my chair with a jammed piston
Nice quality, they roll well. I used these because the piston in my chair pushed a bit too far into the base and was dragging on the floor. These were perfect to raise it up enough to roll freely again
