Suspenseful, Intriguing, and Action Packed Murder Mystery.
"Rogue Agent: A Science Fiction Tale of Assassins, Spies, and Bettrayals! (A Star Nation in Peril book 1) by Skyler Ramirez is a action packed murder mystery brain-teaser that will keep you guessing who's the good guys and who's the bag guys from everyone from the King's Cross agents, the Promethean government, the Koratan government, criminal syndicates, to a group of space nazis. Just when you think that you finally figured out the bad guys, Skyler throws a new twist having you doubting yourself. This is a great book from teens to adults who enjoy a good mystery, action, with heros who give their all, with a little bit of science fiction thrown in. I enjoyed this first book in this series, and I'm looking forward to the upcoming additional books in this series . I hope you will too.

Pretty good, worth reading
I like the books starring Brad. This is a sideward diversion, fleshing out another character. I gave it four stars because of those facts.

Good reading!
This book catches you at the very beginning and keeps you hooked to the end. I had some business to attend to and it annoyed me I couldn't finish the book yesterday. I'm grateful for the 'clean' reading. I'm not embarrassed to recommend it to others. I enjoyed the book and look forward to the next one.

Woohoo!
I liked this ! I started reading it with my coffee this morning and didn't put it down until finishing it just now. It's a very comfortably, entertaining book. That much said, Heather Kilgore, really? Kilgore? That should signal a lot to readers as not only a good name for a steel hearted assassin, but one can sense the tone is pure fiction; also, the blood, gore, and violence is actually light in this book. There's more political intrigue, schemers, and job stress issues that create tension in the story. Plus, there's much inner dialogue about hunter-prey situations, and Kilgore gets introspective about her past, so she's definitely a hardcore government assassin, who's completely devoted to duty, but she's a killer with a conscience. The author, Skylar Ramirez, says he wrote this book in a manner that would allow his children to read it, and that might give readers a clue about content. Readers will spot tropes throughout the book, but I had fun with it, and I think many others will too.

L.L. A worthy author indeed.
An excellent tale, a sympathetic protagonist, an interesting world and compelling story delivered in the tradition of L. L. himself.

Non-stop drama and surprise!
I couldn't anticipate ANYTHING in this story, including how it would end. I admire and appreciate the author for this reason!Super high-tech, and yet it all boiled down to a simple ancient weapon. I won't be able to start the next book until my cortisol level comes back down to human tolerance levels....

Calendar Problems.
Overall, this is just too simple. It reads like a female spy thriller from a pop-fiction factory of the late 20th century with a few futuristic gadgets tossed in. But the science-fiction aspect just would not allow me to suspend my disbelief and get into the story. The author tells me it takes place on the edge of the galaxy after a multi-thousand year diaspora from Earth and humans are the only sentient creatures. The food described is exactly what I would order if I went to Ruth's Cris Steak House with somebody else's credit card. I admit I get tired of Moddesitt's lace potatoes with pear-apple, but at least I can't buy it in the store today. When the hero enjoyed an evening meal of fresh caught large mouth bass seasoned only with salt and then fell asleep to the sound of chirping crickets., I stopped reading. The fishing scene could have been describing an evening in rural Tennessee today without changing a word. Sorry. I closed my kindle. I went to Amazon and looked for some kindle samples of other things.
