Q: Can this be used on the back of the boat as a logo/name?

No. This would be for regular vehicle use or out of water. I would advise using 951 marine grade for boats or similar aquatic types. The marine grade holds up in water and pools.

Q: Can this be used on cups and mugs and put in the dishwasher? Do you need to use a mug/cup heat press to ensure it will remain permanent?

You need to seal cups/mugs to make them dishwasher safe with epoxy! This isn’t htv so you can’t use a heat press on it or it will melt. And even then you need to seal it with epoxy! I hope this helps!
