I absolutely loved these tiny journals. They are cute and practical. I finished one already and am starting the other soon. I like that you can use both sides. Sometimes with watercolor this isn't possible, but these cuties are great! Would definitely repurchase.

Wanted to have something small and fun for vacation that would still allow me to paint great quality paper, will buy again

These are adorable but they are not watercolor paper. They are for pencils and maybe ballpoint pens. The paper is very thin. Nice for a tiny sketchbook, but don't use wet media. The paper curls and can't withstand the moisture. It isn't labeled properly.

These books feel really high quality - the cloth on the hardbound covers feels great and they have fun designs on them. And the paper was great to paint on! These books are REALLY SMALL, even smaller than I was expecting, and I wasn't sure about working in such a small space, but it didn't feel small while I was working on it. The paper can take layers and shows the colors well. Recommended!

The listing for this item stated it was 20 pages of watercolor paper. It’s actually 60 sheets of multimedia paper that isn’t well suited to watercolor. It would be great for writing, drawing, or using another medium that isn’t heavily water based. In my last photo you can see both the paper pilling and the uneven pigment spread that shows the page doesn’t hold up to a basic watercolor wash and wasn’t intended for that purpose. The books are well constructed, the pages held together very well until water was applied for doing a watercolor wash and even then none of them fell out. It’s a great little book, great quality for the cost, and cute, but the listing needs to be updated to be accurate.

These sketch books are so cute. They are even smaller than I thought thry would be but they are perfect.

This uses what seems to be a thick multimedia paper, not watercolor paper so the paint doesn’t flow very well and it dries quickly. If you work a painting too much it will start to pill.That being said it is thick, doesn’t bleed through and seems like it can do well for a multimedia artist. It’s a cute size, doesn’t seem like it’ll fall apart quickly and is over all a fun little sketchbook.
