Q: what size power supply should be used I have a 12v 8 amp for 2 strips but the led connector is very hot. Is this not powerful enough for 2 strips?

Please connect the 2 LED strips in parallel, do not connect in series. 12V 8amp is enough. But if you connect 2 rolls of 16.4ft light strip in series, the total wattage increase so the current at the beginning will be higher and cause the connector very hot.

Q: Am I able to set my lights to come on every day for 4 hours?

You can plug this white led light strip in a smart plug.

Q: Can you wire these up to a 18 volt dc cordless drill battery

Greetings Nope, this is a 12V LED light strip, 18 Volt will burn it.

Q: If this strand of led lights is cut, can they be reattached and used on the joylit dc12v flexible green flexible waterproof led tape strip lights?

The strip of LED are marked I think every 3 light and there are soldering tabs at this point. Just cut on the dotted light and there is enough of the soldering tab that you can connect them back together or even add an other color. There is a water proofing material on the tape of light and you need to be carful when you clean it off. I use a sharp razor blade and it works OK. Hope this helps you.
