Loving it so far, it’s an Interesting little egg timer that cooks soft just the way i like it. When i boil it, i always mess it up so it boils it medium or hard, with this it’s been just the way i like it. The quality of the timer is sturdy and seems like it will last a long time.

I saw something similar demonstrated by a YouTuber. I liked the idea but the one they demonstrated was for 6 eggs. When I went to Amazon to see options, I found this, way more suitable for me. Seems silly but some of us are egg-illiterate! I never know when to take it out for soft or medium boiled. This held the 4 eggs I wanted for two days breakfast and the timer was on point! The egg holder baskets were strong. I would recommend this product.

love this product and it works very well. you watch the water boil and see the red turn to white and when it is at your desired level of cooking you easily pull it out of the boiling waiter with the loop on top of and connected to the unit without burning your self. The 4 eggs stay in place and it is very easy to clean. I would recommend this product.

I love soft boiled eggs, but they have always been hard to make. Even online suggestions did not work. Either the yolk was perfect, but the white was not completely solid which makes me gag, or the white was solid but the yolk was partially cooked more than I prefer. This timer has been spot on every time. Your eggs will be perfect every time. My only complaint is that the handle comes out every time you use it, which is a problem when the water is boiling hot.

I lost the directions, but it's a no brainer. Fill a pot deep enough to cover the eggs and bring to a roiling boil.PUT A DOLLOP OF VINEGAR IN! This makes the eggs easy to peel. Use salt, too, just to be sure.The timer thing is different. As the eggs cook, the red face shrinks. When its a smaller circle for hard boiled, they're done.I kept an eye on the clock, though, 7-10 minutes.I used a long wooden stirring spoon to lift it from the pot. Don't grab the loop on top. Even with an oven mitt, it can slip away or you can get a steam burn.There is space under that second loop below the first for the spoon. Hold it level as you transfer from pot to sink, then get those eggs into ice water.I'm not a good cook, arthritic in my hands, so simple things like eggs are a challenge. But they peeled easy because of the vinegar (and salt), turning out lovely sunny yellow yolks, not the hard green ones I usually get. Yum!

Updated July 2020 -So I still love this gadget. But the egg timer has loosened and I don't want to glue it back together because I don't know how boiling water will affect the adhesion or the toxicity of glue seeping into my eggs. I only hand wash this so I don't know why it came apart. Don't know if I'll replace it.Wow this thing is great!!! No more cracking eggs when adding to boiling water. And the timer is spot on. I make hardboiled eggs every Sunday to bring to work for a snack. I just wish it held 5 or 6 eggs at a time but I can live with making them 2x a week. Glad I found this!

This is a cool item to make jammy eggs. I never use the timer, because it doesn't alert.

The grandkids love to use the 'egg cookers' when they want hard boiled eggs for breakfast or egg salad sandwiches for lunch. They like watching the 'timer in the middle' moving from soft boil to hard boiled.
