AEG CX7-2-35FF Cordless 2-in-1 Stick Vacuum Cleaner, 12 W, 34 Liters, Iron Grey Metallic

I got this cordless vacuum cleaner to replace my Vax cordless which had given up the ghost after a number of years use. I chose this vacuum partly because it had mainly good reviews, but also because I got it at a great price as an Amazon Warehouse Deal. I don't buy a cordless vacuum for my main cleaner; I use it to supplement by main vacuum which is an upright vacuum specifically aimed at households with pets. As anyone with a pet dog or cat knows, pet hairs are a real problem. My dog is black and white, so the white hairs show up on dark backgrounds and the black hairs show up on light backgrounds - a double whammy! However, as well as my primary vacuum, I also like to own a cordless vacuum. I find this extremely handy for all those small, quick jobs where I don't want the hassle of getting out my upright cleaner, plugging it in etc, etc. I live in a bungalow and I have located my cordless vac in the hall so it is handy for every room in the house - I can just grab it when I need it. My old Vax cordless had to be located in a specific place as the holder for it had to be screwed into the wall. This AEG vacuum has its own portable stand so you can move it around to any location as long as there is an electric socket nearby. I found this very convenient. I keep it on charge all the time so it is always ready to use. It has surprisingly powerful suction and lifts dog hairs with ease (much better than the Vax cordless). It is also very easy to convert to a hand held vac. My husband used it like this to vacuum inside the car and was pleased with its performance. You can also use the attachment provided to get right into corners. I have only used the vac once to vacuum the whole house (3 beds) and the charge lasted long enough to do this. As I have said, I tend to use my corded upright vac when cleaning the whole house, and used the cordless for smaller jobs. If you have a large house with children and pets, you would probably still be better off with a corded vacuum to tackle this and to use a cordless vac in the same way as me. However, if you live in a small house or flat and have no pets, this vac would be absolutely all you need. I would buy this again and I fully recommend it. The only minor fault I would mention is that the dust bag is small and needs to be emptied quite frequently. However this would not deter me from buying it.

This hoover is amazing! So lightweight, gets right into the crooks and crannies of your home and is so compact. The light makes it easy to see under the sofa and cabinets etc and looks really sleek. Charging stand is great, not too big as I did see a review saying it was big but it’s really not! Easy to charge and also really easy to empty out the filter which is usually a dreaded job. Gave it to my mum to hoover her stairs (she has a dyson) and the amount of cat hair it picked up was insane, there was literally a kitten living on the stairs that was how much fur there was! I would really recommend it to anyone, it’s amazing!

This is categorically one of the worst vacuum cleaners I’ve ever come across and its performance has steadily gone downhill over the months that I’ve had it.Suction power is poor, requiring you to go over an area several times. It cannot cope with anything larger than the smallest speck of dust and becomes clogged with hair easily. I’ve also found battery life to be very poor, only lasting a few minutes. I’m writing this review today because it is now turning on for only a few seconds when it is fully charged.Highly disappointed with my purchase and I will be buying another much more reliable model from another manufacturer.

Very well made (Europe), compact, lightweight and well designed. Powerful suction for the size and copes well with everything thrown at it. Battery life is good, but I’m in the habit of charging it after a couple of uses, so don’t notice any negatives.Slim and easily stored, especially compared to the size of more conventional machines.When comparing prices with some of the other makes, especially some of the new brands dedicated completely to cordless I’m at a loss as to what those machines can do better, considering they can be double, triple the price.Recommended.

Only just purchased this and used it once. It seems to work well. It is very light and manoeuvreable compared to my plug in vacuum. The dust compartment needs to be emptied each time but it is easy to take apart etc.

I didn’t think that getting enthused for a vacuum was particularly me, but this is almost perfect, as it performs as an upright, a handheld, and being both cordless and light to carry, it’s a dream to clean the stairs.I did mark the score down where the brush can clog up but it’s easy enough to clean out.In short, I love it.

Light weight and easy to manoeuvre. But when using as an upright cleaner on hard floors battery life is only 13 minutes, although specification states up to 35 minutes. Also instructions are very minimal and not much help at all.

I have had this cleaner for eighteen months and haven’t been that happy with it. It has a very small disposal bag, and emptying it is difficult as the parts tend to stick. The suction is not that great. My partner recently bought one of a different make and it is much more powerful. Finally, it has suddenly gone a bit wrong. I took it off the charger yesterday and found that the uppermost on/off switch no longer works properly. The vacuum goes for about thirty seconds and then cuts out. It will only work when using the knob located on the detachable small vacuum. Not great after only eighteen months. I wouldn’t buy another one. I’ll be looking around for something more reliable and with more features.
