Grandson loved it. Light enough and right size he could shovel right along side dad.

The picture is accurate, so it clearly shows that it is long and narrow. I just wasn't paying enough attention to it. I was buying it for a 2-1/2 year old and this would be too long for him, although the width and handle would be perfect. The design seems a little awkward, too. I like the adjustable aluminum handle though. I am going to keep it in my car for an emergency shovel.

The 2 snow shovels must be assembled and snap together and are metal and plastic. The 2 sand shovels are wood and plastic. I was surprised at how sturdy these are. They are great for their intended purpose but I am actually using the snow shovels to clean out my chicken coop (perfect size and shape) and the sand shovels for gardening. This set is well priced at $33 for the 4-piece set.

We wanted to love these, and still like them, but they have a few serious drawbacks.First, the two little wooden-handled ones are tiny toys for who knows what? A sandbox? They aren't snow shovels. Just little toys for digging in the yard?On to the larger snow shovels. They are height adjustable and it's easy to do (great!). That said, my 6-year old needs the longest setting, as do our other elementary-size kiddos, so you'd really only shorten if you have preschoolers or smaller. The handles are comfy and the metal is more sturdy than plastic.I asked my 11-yr-old how he liked them after our last snow storm and he said, "They'd be great to dig out a fort, but if you had to shovel a driveway with that tiny thing? You'd give up before you started." Which is exactly what he did. My younger kids kept at it and enjoyed using them, but the width is sort of pointless. I'd get a wider shovel so frustration doesn't set in so quickly.Assembly was super easy - my 6th grader snapped them together without a second thought.

I ordered one and the blade is ridiculously warped. I know this is a kid's shovel but for the price the blade should at least be straight. I ordered a replacement and the exact same thing happened. Garbage.

I got these little shovels for my kids to help us this winter. Every year they want to come out and shovel but the shovels we have are too heavy or too big for them. These however are perfect for children.My kids at almost 8 and they can use them with no problems.I like that they have adjustable poles so you can expand or shorten the length to fit the child or need.I also like that they are narrow so kids don’t pick up too much snow and make it too heavy to move.They are light weight. Made with plastic, not the greatest quality but good still, and aluminum. So they are made for light work, not super heavy duty snow removal.You get two for less than 20 so it’s a good price too.Easy to store since they’re so narrow and short. And they were really easy to put together.They could also be used to pick up after your pet.My kids are excited to help with snow now even more.
