Feeding Your Baby and Toddler: 200 Easy, Healthy, and Nutritious Recipes

some nice recipes, great for the weaning period.
I loved this book when I was weaning my daughter. We were very keen to always, while at home, cook from scratch for her and not buy the jars of baby food. From experience if you just try to liquidise what you have prepared for yourself, the taste of the puree is very often not that nice. This book gives some lovely tasting, healthy, nutritious recipes which puree well. Our daughter loved lots of the recipes and I was able to cook 2 recipes at a time in bulk and store them in little individual post in the freezer so that they were easy to heat up quickly each meal time. We have stopped using the book now that she is a toddler and eating the same meals as the rest of the family, mainly because despite the recipes saying they are quick, you will find many of them go on to say that preparation time takes up to an hour! However they are innovative recipes, if you have the time. great advice re nutrition and salt content of food etc.

Great Book!
After a pretty horrific period of weaning, and coming to the conlusion my daughter was on a mission to drive me insane and hated everything I cooked for her and would only eat Heinz Macaroni Cheese and mashed potato and veg, I finally gave in and bought this book. I could kick myself for not buying it sooner it would have saved a whole lot of stress at mealtimes, not to mention wasted food! The recipes are great, even though I can't quite get the presentation right. If you are considering buying this book, just do it, as it starts right at the beginning of weaning with some great combinations to get your little one used to different colours and flavours etc. Our daughter is just over 2 years old and it's taking a while to get her used to the food following her previously limited boring diet but we're getting there, the cakes and biscuits are going down a treat with us all but be warned, they are quite high in fibre, so be ready for some pretty wild nappy changes !! All in all, a great book, BUY IT !!

Absolutely fantastic.
I bought this book because I was struggling to think of well balanced meals to feed my 15 month old son,and he has become adverse to the transition from puree to lumps which has caused me endless worry, however, everything that I have cooked him from this book has been eaten without a single problem he loves all the recipes so far. It has become a 'bible' in my kitchen, the recipes are easy, fairly quick, nutritious and best of all most are freezable so you can cook up several batches at a time, so in the long run you save time. There are even recipes that you can cook from frozen so if you forget to get something out the freezer..no problem!I have tried several recipes so far and some have become his favourites. Personally I can't recommend it enough, and my son has become a lot less fussy.Buy it!

Great feeding ideas!
I bought this book to help me with weaning my baby and because my older son (4 years old) is a fussy eater. The weaning ideas and recipees are great, my 6.5 month-old-baby loves them all and they're easy to make. It also gives some general tips about cooking and storing food. The "fussy-eater" recipes are also very interesting, but I only tried a few and I still haven't managed to convince my son to try any. But as I said, it's early days.

A simple guide and helping hand with the weaning process.
I didn't have a clue when it came to weaning my little one, the thought of it was scary. This book was a great buy, loads of great tips and ideas on top of all the great recipes which i am working my way through. My baby has loved everything i have given her from this book. Someone had given a review suggesting getting this book as it takes you right through until toddler/child stage, i would agree it gives you everything you need while they are babies and still contains more for when they get older. A great buy.

Good ideas, easy to follow
I own many of Annabel Karmel's books, and this finally has some new ideas (I find some repetition between the others), the paella and egg fried rice are firm family favourites. I can't say I use it every day, but definitely good for when I'm stuck for ideas!Easy to follow recipes and explains everything well. Practical as it goes through the different age groups and gives breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack ideas age appropriately and in a fun way, making it appealing for kids.
