Was a little weird with a metal mesh filter. after changing to a ceramic over the cup version, it became perfect for making coffee and easy to remove the pot. the stand itself in adjustable. It's very sturdy and holds a pot well. I think id get a silicone or rubber small mat to place under the pot next just to keep it from slidding around.

This is an invaluable gadget for pour over coffee if you use all types of sizes of coffee cups. I have not decided yet if I like this more than using a canister thing with a metal dripper over it or just using a dripper attachment on my cup, but I do seem to be using this more than the other types I have. All of my metal dripper cones work well in it. It took only a few seconds to attach the pole and holder, and you can adjust the holder to be as high or low as you want it. A reusable dripper cone just sits inside the holder over your cup. The base of it is heavy, and the metal is really strong and sturdy, so I would think this would last a while, and it looks good. The only irksome thing is it is a little on the large size, so someone with little counter space such as myself may find it in the way, but it is not an eyesore and may be even a little decorative in a way, so it is something I just find myself moving out of the way off and on all day. That is not enough to make me say I would not get it again. I usually set my tea spoon on it during the day while I am drinking tea, and I am finding it is easy to clean off with the few drips I have had to deal with. I thought the price at $30 seemed a little steep until I looked around and realized the going price seems to be $50, so this is evidently a steal. I cannot see paying more than this just for a pour over station device unless I was such an avid coffee drinker that was all I drank all day.

Wow! This thing is cool. It is well made. The base is well finished hardwood, I think it may be ash wood but possibly oak or something else. The metal fittings are easy to assemble and the ring that holds the cone is height adjustable. Definitely a pretty classy unit.
