Simple design. Finish is even across all pieces included in the set. I would call the dishes more of a matte-sage green color vs dark green.This set of dishes is perfect for 2 people. This set of dishes makes for a good wedding gift.The overall feel of these dishes make me feel like they will be really durable and last a long time. I had no issues with cleaning the dishes after eating a verity of different meals. While these are marketed as a breakfast set you could easily use these dishes for any meal.This set of dishes is comparable in price, form, and function to other sets of dishes offered at major retailers.

We ordered this stoneware set to use on our RV. It arrived packaged quite well and there was no breakage.The set comes with 2 large plates (for your entree), 2 small plates (for salads, bread, dessert or sandwiches), 2 bowls (for soup, pasta, cereal, salads or ice cream) and 2 cups (for tea, coffee or hot cocoa) The plates and bowls are nicely sized and will hold a lot of food. The bowls are especially spacious (more ice cream!). Unlike the other dishes, the cups are very small. We were a little surprised at the size when we first unpacked them. Each cup will only hold 5 oz of liquid, which isn't even a cup (8 oz). They are probably best suited for espresso. I included a photo of the Whole Housewares cup next to one of our usual coffee cups to show the size difference. Because of the miniature cups, I deducted as star when rating this product.Beautifully made, there is not a flaw to be found on any of the pieces. The color of the various dishware is sage green. This beautiful hue will fit into any style home decor. It is both modern looking as well as rustic. The surface is matte and not especially shiny. The set is quite hefty in weight and feels solid and strong. The rim on the plates are somewhat elevated so there is no worry about juices or gravies dripping off the dishware. Also, because of the high rim, your silverware will not slide down into the food which can happen with gently sloped plates.This Whole Housewares set is both dishwasher and microwaveable safe which is a real plus.All in all, this 8-piece set is quite beautiful and sturdy. We look forward to eating many a meal on this dishware in the future. Though, we will probably purchase some larger size cups to replace the tiny ones included in this stoneware set.

I like the simplicity but elegant design of the breakfast set. I wish the cups were bigger but overall, I have no complaints. I love the width/depth of the bowls. The color stands out as well, being that I do not own any dishes like this color.

While I like the color and style of this set, the feature that strikes me initially is their hulkiness. The large place, although not particularly wide at 10.5" in diameter, weighs almost 32 ounces. That is close to twice the weight of our next heaviest plate. The small plate weighs close to 22 ounces, measuring 8.5" across, and the bowl weighs 18 ounces with 7" in diameter. Thus, the combined weight of these six pieces comes to 9 pounds!Overall, the monochrome olive green color and simple shapes give the set a Spartan warrior-like feel. The plate looks like a discus, and given that a woman's Olympic discus weighs 35 ounces (the men's weighs twice that), it feels like one.The cup, however, comes relatively small, it holds less than one full cup of liquid. It's closer to an espresso cup than the mega-sized coffee cups I often drink from. That limits the set a bit, in my opinion, because it doesn't fully stock two people with dining ware. Nevertheless, I appreciate the quality that went into this stoneware and I expect it to be welcomed in most households.

I was honestly not sure about the color at first, but these are some of my favorite dishes in my kitchen. They are very high quality and the color has actually really grown on me. They work perfectly for someone who doesn’t need a big set. I have found them super useful and easy to clean. They are dishwasher safe and have stayed in perfect condition even with strong detergent.

I love the look of this set. The matte-sage finish looks so much more interesting than your typical dishware.I've had no issues with cleaning and the overall sturdiness of the pieces is a plus.

I was definitely in the market for kitchen ware and decided to give these a try even though I was not impressed with the green when I ordered them. Well, today they arrived, I washed them and set the table for dinner for me and my husband. We both were pleased with them and even liked the color. This set is perfect for us as we are a family of 2, so for a meals together, these fit the bill. I was also impressed with the weight of the dishes. I didn't anticipate the tiny cups, but they are perfect for an expresso.This is an eight piece set and practical for daily use. This stoneware set is microwavable and dishwasher safe.
