Works- with a little help!
I live on a couple acres and there are a LOT of birds here, and they ate every one of my cherries so I knew I had to do something. I found this tape and thought I would try it. It came without any suggestions on how to use it- pieces, looping it or whatever, so I cut 4-7 foot lengths and tied them onto the ends of branches on my two 8-10 foot tall peach trees. I used about 10 per tree. For a couple days there was not a bird song to be heard, but pretty soon they came back.I found a few more suggestions online, and ended up drawing an owl on cardboard and mounting it in a dirt filled water bottle. I also had a length of hose that I draped under the trees to mimic a snake. Every couple days I moved each of these to the other tree, so the birds did not have time to get used them sitting in one place.Between the flash tape, "owl" and "snake", I managed to pick just about all my peaches. The last couple days I forgot to move the "critters" and the birds managed to gobble on about a dozen peaches, but I consider this a win!

I have used this product for years
I live in a place of the country where there are about 600 bird species 350 or so live here year round even in winter time we get northern migratory birds wintering here. I have a large picture window and birds keep flying into it. I put up two 3 foot strips of this ribbon and the bird deaths stopped!. It broke my heart to see a rare bird corpse by the window, so I put this ribbon up and no more birds flying into the windows reflection. I have in the past strung this product across a garden 25'x15' worked great to save my vegetables and berries! I recommend this product its safe non toxic repellent!

Great
I use this on my grape vines and am able to keep most of my crop. Long strands that flutter in the wind are better than short ones.

Good for Big Birds, bad for Small Birds
The smaller birds love it! They are telling all their friends to take pieces of the flashy red to upgrade their nests. The bigger birds haven’t been around so maybe it works to keep them away. However the little guys aren’t scared, in fact they are attracted to it.

Pretty darn good!
Our Adirondack chairs became the favorite perching place for various birds who hang around our dock. Consequently, our chairs were a mess forcing us to do a thorough cleaning job before we could sit on them. We tied several long strands of this product to the backs of the chairs. When there is even a slight wind blowing they are a bird deterrent and flow nicely in the breeze. However, they have 2 problems. When there is no breeze and the strands are still, the birds return and when the strands get tangled around the chairs, the birds return. But, all in all, I would say they are 75-80% successful. Not bad for an inexpensive & simple product. An added bonus: they look like a party is happening!

Forget this tape. Get a dog
I would so like to be telling you this worked but I am afraid it did not. The geese just fly around it, go bear it. No fear whatsoever. My advice. Get a dog.

Good quality and price
As owners of a blueberry farm this really helps to scare off a good share of the birds.

Do not scare birds at all!
I bought this tape to scare away birds that keep coming to build bird nests on my back deck. I put them all over my deck but the birds keep coming back. They do not work at all! I've returned them for a full refund. Please don't waste money on these tapes. They do not scare birds at all.
