A wonderful accessory for the Beretta 92FS
There are several good laser rangefinder manufacturers, but Crimson Trace is without doubt one of the very best. This particular item, the Lasergrip LG402M, is the Mil-Spec second generation version designed specifically for the Beretta M9/92FS series of pistols. The grip installs very easily and simply as a replacement to the handgrip of the pistol. The grips themselves are made of a tough impact plastic with a businesslike beveling on the grip that gives a satisfying secure feeling to the shooter when gripping the pistol. This is very professional hardware. The laser activates by a pressure switch located on the front portion of the grip. This is very ergonomic, and the shooter quickly adapts to this arrangement--exert firm pressure on the grip, as a shooter should, and the laser activates.Sighting in the laser is very easy. Crimson Trace provides two separate allen wrenches for adjusting windage and elevation; one fits inside the grip, the other can be kept elsewhere for easy access, i.e. to take to the range. Typically the shooter will adjust the laser so that it is coincident with a perfect sight picture. My experience is that this can be done prior to a range trip. Then one trip to the range will possibly result in minor fine tuning, and that is it. Once these grips are adjusted in, you will likely not be adjusting them again. The laser dot is plenty bright for pretty much any pistol shooting distance in dim light, and is probably good for maybe 20-30 feet in sunlight, depending on conditions. And make no mistake: firing with a laser sight such as this one can really improve one's aim. Once adjusted in, the bullet goes where the laser points. The Beretta is a tactical pistol, with pretty accurate sights, but the sights are designed for quick target acquisition (as they should be for a tactical sidearm) meaning a somewhat wider rear sight notch, which creates a bit lesser accuracy as opposed to a target sight. The laser removes that minor shortcoming and makes the Beretta more competitive as a target pistol. Plus, it is just plain fun to shoot with a laser sight! One minor nit: there is no adjustment for the dot as between constant and strobe. I like the strobe option that some laser sights have; the human eye is attracted to motion, i.e. strobe, plus strobe reduces the duty cycle and thereby increases battery life. On the other hand this laser uses two relatively beefy CR2032 batteries, and has an estimated duty life of four hours. That is a lot of capacity. The overall "feel" of these grips is that this is one heavy-duty accessory. It is built to exceed Military Specifications, and this is quite evident during use. The grips have a sharp, no-nonsense look to them that owners of the Beretta M9/92fs will appreciate and take pride in. The feel of the grip fits my hand very nicely, and these grips are of higher quality than the one that the OEM grip for the M9 or 92fs. Highly recommended without reservation. RJB.

Great Product and Free Batteries for Life.
While the price is a bit steep, it was nice to get this for my Beretta. You don't mind paying for quality. I installed in less than 15 minutes and it works as stated. The factory sites the laser to 50FT. , and that looks pretty accurate. I intend on going to the range tomorrow and tweak the laser even more. A great product made in the good old USA and it includes Batteries for Life. All you need to do is register the laser on their web site and you are automatically enrolled for the free batteries. The only draw back is that you have to call them to request the free batteries. It should be automated where 1 year from purchase date they send out your free batteries.

Love the grips with integrated laser
I just received my grips with laser installed. Installation of the batteries and grips were intuitive (simple for even a doctor). I immediately put in a bore laser into the barrel to compare where the grip laser was pointing. It took me about 3 min to adjust it to dead center. I haven't fired it but assume that the boresight hill hold from the vibration of my Beretta P92 .40 cal. I'll get back to you if there are any problems. Based on the very high quality of the product, I assume there will be zero problems.

Only option for the 92FS
For the 92FS this is the only option. Install was in minutes. A fair upgrade to say the least. No regrets with this purchase.I do recommend picking up a 10 pack of batteries for future use.

Difficult to engage
Actually, very good laser, easy to install but you need to grip it tight to engage. Really should have on/off switch.I ended up returning it.

On target and easy to install
I just removed the two screws holding the grip covers, installed the batteries in the CT Lasergrip, and slipped it onto the frame. The light worked as advertised and I like the ON/OFF switch. The switch is large enough to use and small enough to be out of the way. Great product! It was exactly as advertised and works Great!

NOT for everybody
My hands are normal size but didn't lineup well for this. Holding the handle tightly didn't activate it. I had to press it specifically with a finger, hard, to get it to work. Sent it back.
