Radio is multi task unit
This radio is very easy to program. Nice display the charge holds very well.Draw back when you drain the battery it takes about 5 hours to fully recharge, I'm looking into finding a rapid charger since I use this for both personal and work.

Faulty unit
The media could not be loaded.  I am not an experienced ham/radio head so my review should be taken with a grain of salt. My situation, as are all others is unique and I would benefit from more experienced users input. Received my unit in a timely fashion. When I switched it on it started to flash on and off after a few button inputs as the video shows. I tried upgrading software to the latest firmware update and eventually to the openGD firmware but the flashing persisted. From what I have heard this is a great radio. As stated I still have a whole lot to learn. I have initiated a return/refund process with hopes of acquiring another DM 1701. Hope the next one doesn’t disappoint. Thank you.

Good radio for the money
Fairly easy to program if you have experience, and the squelch is a lot better than the other baofengs I've used. The screen is bright which is great during the day but did give me a headache while driving at night with it. I did return it but it was my fault, I thought I needed different bands than I did. The only thing I didn't like was the battery life was kind of short.

Great DMR HT value
Nice HT. Works well with stock firmware and CPS. Added plus is that it can be upgraded to OpenSourceGD firmware but a new code plug would have to be built but the new firmware makes thar easy.I firmly believe these are made out of the same factory as the TYT and other similar radios, same sold build both physically and electronically.

This is a nice DMR radio if you know how to program it.

I’m sorry I bought this! Had to return it. Do yourself a favor and buy a more expensive radio.
It was nearly impossible to program this radio and the firmware update would not install. I have a windows machine that should work fine by what the instructions said.
