Q: what else could be added to chili mix

When making chili I usually add hamburg, (or shredded beef), kidney beans (optional), cheese, tomatoes chopped, (canned or fresh), (or stewed), tomato paste,tomato sauce, onion, ....everyone has a different combo. I have a friend that adds a tablespoon of brown sugar (lowers the acidity some).Hope that helps.

Q: Does this have a 289 or a 427?

It looks like this is the older version with salt in a separate pouch, so probably a 289. The newer version with the salt mixed in with the seasoning has the 427. I think the chicken chili has a 302.
