The fabric is super soft and stretchy and it does hold me in. I would call it a medium level of shaping. What I like especially is that it is a lightweight fabric that can be worn in hot and humid situations. It was easy to put on - not a struggle at all and I am amazed at how soft it is. It is long enough for a long torso person, which I am not. But I folded over the bottom without it being uncomfortable and without it rolling up. It has wide, soft straps so there is no issue with digging in at the shoulders.The bottom does not have one of those rubbery bands on the inside that helps keep the shapewear in place but like I said, it doesn't roll up. I wore it to the driving range today and it performed beautifully even with all the twisting.Note that the back comes up quite a bit and the front is a little higher than other types of shapewear. This is not a negative, just plan for it when you get this to wear with different outfits.I got the extra large because that is what the size chart said to get based on my measurements, but I think a large would hold me in a little better.

Extremely too small, thick and tight. Size up if you can. Would probably work better if sizing was accurate.

I purchased this top for my wife a few weeks ago. So far, she wore it a few times. It perfectly fits her body and it sits comfortably. She also likes the quality of the material. The size was exactly as described and expected.
