Great way to make oats/oatmeal
Another option is to soak the oats overnight in Tupper/plastic mixed with a low sugar juice. I use a 2-quart container with about 1/2 lb oats and then 1 quart juice (I like low sugar Cran Cherry juice). Then, strain oats/juice mixture next day and put back in soak container and store in refrigerator. Drink the soak juice as has goodies in it from oats. To use, put oats from refrigerator in mug/bowl, ass nuts/berries and a cup yogurt flavor of choice and a sweetener, current fave is Yacon Syrup as it has no affect on blood sugar but still tastes good. Because oats have not been boiled and exploded, there is a whole different texture to mix, not just gooey mess!!

Protein Oats review
I use one cup of oats with 2 1/4 cups of water and simmer 20 minutes for 2 adult servings. I found the label instructions to be off on time and water. The taste is great, and I've reordered this product many times.
