Very Comfortable - Do their Job Well
These Ballotte Silicone Heel Protectors are great for my wife's dress shoes. She works in the medical field, and thus, being on her feet a lot, is wearing comfy soft soled shoes most of the time. Her dress shoes get much less use. As such, when she wears them, her feet are not accustomed to them, and the shoes are never properly broken in. Though, as most lady's dress shoes seem to be more for looks than comfort anyway, it's questionable whether or not they really ever are. These heel protectors are of a silicone design. They are very comfortable and conform to her feet very well. The adhesive is quite secure when applied and they stay put where you put them. They have enough give to provide snug support without making the shoes too tight. One big plus, they prevent heal rub and thus blisters. They are packaged in pairs and so they are very easy to keep spares tucked in a drawer or luggage if traveling. These heal protectors do their job well. They are easily worth the very reasonable cost. They make otherwise unwearable shoes wearable and make those which are comfortable more so. They are easily worthy of five stars.

Good for gripping my heel in a too long shoe
I am in my 70’s and my shoe size has recently gone up a 1/2 size. This is very sad as I have a fantastic shoe collection. In trying different shoes in my new size I have found every fit from way too small to huge so I have invested in heel grips for the first time since childhood. These are skin colored only for Caucasians, which I find upsetting, but this and black are the two main choices in these types of items.I have used these for only one pair of new flats. They are too long and these heel pads fill in the gap so my heel doesn’t keep lifting out of the shoe when I walk. On my slightly larger right foot, the shoe is a smidge tight now. On the slightly smaller left foot, the fit with the pad is now perfect. This tells me to be careful that I have enough extra room before inserting these. These are a bit thicker than another brand’s pads I bought for a black pair of ballet flats. It’s impossible to compare shoes with pads but I think these are more cushioned, thus thicker, than the black ones. It’s such a tiny difference but you can feel it when you try on the shoes. As a child my mother put these in my shoes that rubbed my heels and caused irritation. I remember them working. But I don’t think these would be able to serve as protectors unless the shoes were a bit too large. Maybe I need a variety of pads of different thicknesses! I think these work well if you want to make a shoe that’s too long or happens to have a wide heel.

Stays stuck to my shoe
I got these to help with a couple shoes I have that rub a bit. I tried them out on one that was especially bad (caused me blisters last time I wore it), and it was definitely a marked improvement. I am surprised at how well these pads are staying on the shoe. I placed them and tried them on to make sure they were in the correct place, pressed hard for a couple seconds in each spot, then left them overnight. The next day I wore the shoes all day, and these pads didn't budge. The pads themselves are soft and feel nice on the skin. While it days silicone, I think they are silicone underneath with a cover that feels similar to a microfiber suede. This means they won't stick to your skin, which is good, but it does let the shoe move a bit more than I thought it would. However, it was enough of a difference that I didn't get blisters, so I'm happy! I plan to add these to my heels next and see if they help there as well (I suspect they will).Impressed with the adhesion of these pads and the softness of the cover fabric. Definitely a win!

Nice Comfort, Needs More Grip
I bought some Rothy’s and for whatever reason my heel slips out of the shoe so I got these (“3M Nude” option) to try and fix the issue. The adhesive is pretty sticky, though I’m not holding out hope in the long term due to the shoe I’m using it for. I think for a standard type shoe with non-porous material this shouldn’t be much of an issue. The material is nice and soft, though the thickness has made the shoes feel slightly tight in front. Unfortunately I think the material of these should be slightly grippier, as my heel still strangely comes out of the shoe, despite it feeling tighter. If you need something just to provide more cushion in the heel area then it’s a fine option, but if you’re trying to prevent heel slippage then it might not work as well.

Better fabric and padding than others I've tried
I hate heel blisters or walking right out of my shoes because they are too loose.I've tried other heel cushions before and these definitely are an upgrade. The fabric is much better quality and so is the cushioning. And they stuck in the back of my shoes without a problem. I had one pair of shoes that I was about to donate because they were too loose and wouldn't stay on my feet when I walked. I put these in and I will be keeping them.I spend money on insoles and shoe cushions to modify uncomfortable or ill-fitting shoes because as much as I love cute shoes, I love my feet more. I can't change shoes but I can't do that with my feet.

Works Well But Only If Gap In Back Of The Shoe Is Slight
I have a pair of Tory Burch ballet flats that fit for the most part but intermittently the heels of my feet slip out of the back. These heel pads have stopped that from happening. (See Photo) They were easy to insert and comfortable. They stayed put, yet I was able to remove them easily with no damage to the shoe. They fit right back in and stuck again. Regrettably these heel pads did not work at all with a pair of heels that I had ordered online which had a larger gap in the back. The pads might just have well not been there as my heels continued to come out of the back of the shoes. My conclusion is that if you have a very small gap in the back of your shoe these heel pads will keep your shoes from coming off. But if you have a larger gap just return those shoes if you can…I don’t think that these or any other heel pads will work.

Best investment I have made
This product is great and I could definitely recommend it to anyone. Well, almost anyone.I used those heel grips in my combat boots. I got them and realised they were too big too late and I've already spent so much I couldn't just trash the shoes. I've spent too long saving up for them!I've tried a lot of things to stop blisters from appearing. First thing was a felt sole insert. However the problem with this was that my toes ended up with too little space in the cap of the shoe.Afterward I tried one of those leather heel grips that just go around your heel. Worst purchase ever. The sudden sharp ends of the stick on grip would dig into my heels creating a giant blister anyways. The amount of plasters I was going through was ridiculous. Every day I wanted to wear those shoes I'd have to put a big plaster over my heel and underneath my ankle. They were 60-something p, but you can imagine that all of that adds up when you use up 4 plasters of a 5-pack daily. I'd go through 4 packs a week.So I bought those a few days ago. Costed me twice as much as the leather ones, but, I have 4 pairs instead of 1. Yesterday was the first time I have wore those grips without any sort of plasters. And finally waking in my boots was a bliss. They don't have any sharp edges that could dig into your feet, they make the size of the shoe smaller by about half the size (in my case fron 5.5 to 5) and slightly raise your heel. Now this is important, yes, those grips will raise your heel. To me that was ideal as it prevented my ankles from getting hurt from the constant friction and leather digging straight into them, but left my toes with enough space at the cap. This won't be ideal for everyone. They are comfortable but they do get worked in pretty fast at the bottom of your heel. They however still provide some cushioning, but to me it doesn't matter too much since that's not why I bought them. Applying them to the boots was a challenge but I realised that after walking in them, the bottom part has shifted into the correct position and stayed there. The disadvantage to those, specifically in boots, is that they roll down when you put your foot in the shoe. However I'm sure it's nothing a shoehorn can't fix.Other than that, I can definitely recommend those to everyone who doesn't mind the raised heel. They have definitely saved me a lot of money.

Work really well but…
Bought a set of these to reduce the boot size from 5 to 4.5. I’d say they do work really well in that they are comfortable and pad the heal area in particular to reduce heel lift in my Chelsea boots. The only caveat is that, if I don’t use a shoe horn, the grips catch and peal off. I think that’s because of the boot itself. With laced shoes you’re not putting your feet in in the same way. Anyhow, it’s not really the fault of the grips as they stay in otherwise and can be removed, leaving no marks on the leather lining. Plenty in the pack for other shoes or spares too.

Arrived quickly and were comfortable & worked!
These heel grips were a last minute panic buy as my shoes I had bought to wear to my daughter’s wedding (in 6 days time) were too big as I had stretched them too much! The grips were due to arrive on the Friday (day before wedding) but thankfully arrived on the Tuesday! They were easy to fit into my shoes and did the job! I used a shoe horn to ensure they didn’t move when I put the shoes on and they worked perfectly well with tights too. I was unable use to them in my evening shoes as the lining was fabric and the grips pulled the material away from the shoe. On the whole I was pleased with my purchase and was able to walk all day at the wedding without my feet slipping out. I would recommend these grips for comfort and for shoes that were slightly too big.

They really do work
After reading the various reviews I purchased these and they really do work yes you will have to use a shoe horn I used my finger to make sure I didn’t catch the heel grip, I usually wear a 4 1/2 but now have to go with a size 5 as very few shoes come in half sizes these heel grips make it so much more comfortable and my shoes now fit

Comfortable
Made a pair of uncomfortable shoes a bit more bearable but need to be thicker to be more effective
