ERA 183-31 40mm High Security Nightlatch with Brass Effect Body

Thought this would be an exact replacement for a broken ERA door lock. For all intense and purpose it is, but what I believe is called the striking plate (where lock clicks in) is deeper than the previous lock. So, the door would not close short of chizzeling out more of the door frame. I couldn't be bothered so used the old striking plate. Other than that a great lock, good price and easy to fit.

I bought it to replace one that I had lost my keys for. Because there are two lockable sides, when you lose one of your keys and are worried that someone may pick it up, it is not easy to just replace the barrel. You have to buy a whole new one.

Good simple upgrade if you already have an era lock in place but want to swap out so you get the deadlocking as-well.Imagine would be a simple enough installation from scratch anyways.Protects against breaking in from the latch laminate cards!

This was straight forward to install. We replaced the previous one which was exactly the same but we had locked ourself out so had to get it drilled. Arrived quickly, and saved us money doing it ourself!
