I love this product! The leather is pebble leather, and a very good quality. It feels like I am reading an old book because the leather gives the Kindle some weight and texture to hold. I think it smells good. The Kindle fit perfectly into it and never comes out accidentally. It has a strap if one wants to use it, but you don’t have to as it shuts nicely. As far as I can tell, when you close it, it shuts off the screen of the Kindle and if you use the strap to close it and drop it, the Kindle is well protected with this cover. In my opinion, there’s nothing like real leather.

When I bought my Kindle Paperwhite (11th Gen), I also bought the Amazon leather case to go with it. I was disappointed though as it wasn’t nearly as nice as the Amazon case I had for my previous Kindle which was about ten years old. The Torro case is much nicer. Although expensive, it is a premium, well made case which I expect to last a long time. It is substantially bulkier than the Amazon case though making it about twice as thick, as my photos illustrate. I also would have preferred it had the magnetic closure instead of the elastic strap but the auto wake/sleep function works fine. If you want to add a little bit of luxury to your Kindle, this is the case to get.

The media could not be loaded.  The case came today and I was really excited cuz it looks great smells great. Popped my Kindle in it started out of the house with my Kindle in my backpack. When I went to get it out of my backpack a short while later the inside of my backpack was lit up. The case door doesn't stay closed so it pops open lights up your screen drains battery if you don't have it tucked away in a pocket. I understand you can wrap the elastic strip around, but the absence of magnets make it more inconvenient when traveling with it as well as when reading because when fully open the cover doesn't and not magnetically attached to the back for convenience. Stock kindel case has those features that half the price
