Great sour dough starter jar. The fabric on top is very breathable and perfect for its job. The container is very large and great for growth. The silicone spatula is perfect for mixing the starter too.

On 3-28-22, I wrote the following review...but see below for update.I received this about a month ago and put one of the jars away while I created a starter with the other. After a couple of weeks, I realized the starter was not going to make it so I began again using the second jar. While washing the first one, I realized there was a crack running along the bottom edge of the jar and up the side, which I had not noticed while the starter was in the jar. Now I see I am a few days past the return date, so I'll need to replace the cracked jar. Other than that I think would probably be a good beginner's kit for someone like me, but I can't go more than two stars.Update: 4-7-22After my review, their customer service contacted me, and even though it was past my possible return date, they took care of my problem. Theirs is what customer service should be...honest, quick, and courteous. How refreshing. Consequently, I've changed my review from two stars to five stars.

This is a nice jar with accessories, however, the inside edge is not straight with the top of the jar, making it hard to clean and keep looking nice. Bottom is not flat as well but is not an issue with stirring contents.

Exactly as described. I love how easy it is to access the starter with this wide mouth opening. I purchased 2 they both arrived in great condition.

I like its wide open mouth, come with lid and mesh cover.

The media could not be loaded. The size of the jars is great, the lid really helps to control the sourdough growth. Don’t put it in the dish washer. I washed one of the jars by hand and the glass broke in my hands. I didn’t not drop it or anything, literally the material is poor. The glass quality is terrible, therefore, wash it by hand. The other components are great addition to the kit and those have good quality.

I am brand new to sourdough and am thrilled with this purchase. Everything I needed except the flour and water. It seems sturdy and I really like the Danish whisk that comes with it. Comes with instructions.

Didn’t meet my expectations. Made with cheap glasses!

Showed up broken and cannot get service on a replacement.
