Steel Tubing Bike Repair Stand, Portable & Great for Travel/Occasional Home Use
This is a lightweight repair stand, (about 14 pounds) that I think works well for occasional use. I was able to set it easily by sliding down the leg supports, raising the center pole support and then locking them both in place using quick release style clamps. Next, I opened the frame clamp and lifted the bike into the stand. It's lightweight construction and ability to be easily folded makes it a great repair rack for traveling. By the way, the manufacturer recommends bikes be clamped only by the top tube or the seat post. My measurements showed it could open about 2” max.As the clamp cannot be removed from the stand, bikes need to be lifted and placed into the clamp. This could be a problem if the bike is heavy. For expensive carbon fiber frames, there’s a wing nut on the bottom of the clamp that provides for more precise pressure. If the bike has wires and cables on the top tube, I’d recommend using padding to prevent scratches. The support clamp can turn a full 360 degrees when unlocked and it locks/unlocks with just a flip of the lever. Working height can be adjusted up/down but the stand is more stable with the bike just off the ground. When I had my bike in the stand and spun the pedals, the stand would rock. The stand also has a separate adjustable bar to use to lock the front wheel facing forward. A tool tray is included but cannot be folded and must be removed with a wrench.Bottom Line: Good Bike Stand for occasional use but I would recommend something sturdier for multiple bike repairs. More stable with lighter bikes than with heavy bikes. Set up and take down is quick and easy. Some rocking of the stand if pedaling the bike while supported. A good portable bike stand for occasional use and great for travel.

A STURDY METAL BIKE REPAIR STAND
I have a couple of bikes that needed tuning and tightening every Spring before I go bike riding during the Summer. And this is stand is what I was needing. The stand was easy to assemble. It had all the pieces that I needed to assemble this stand. All I had to do was open the tri pod legs and tighten. Insert the middle pole into the tripod legs and tighten. Inset the arm into the middle pole and tighten. And your good to go. It came with a Allen wrench and that's all you need. In the middle you have to attach the tray to the body of the stand. Also make sure everything is tightened up and your good to go. The clamp arm is adjustable and can swivel up and down. And the clamp itself can hold most bikes. It has locking levers for each section for easy tightening and loosening. When done the tripod bottom folds up for easy storage. Overall great stand made tuning my bikes a lot easier than trying to work on the bike with the bike on the ground.

This stand met it's match: a rusted nuts and bolts cheap steel bicycle
I ordered the Gioventu Bicycle Repair Stand, enticed by its promise of being a robust solution for heavy-duty bike repairs, including e-bikes, mountain bikes, and road bikes, with a maximum weight capacity of 110 lbs. The stand's design, featuring a "Super-Strong tube," suggested durability, and its versatility in handling various bike types seemed ideal for my needs, ranging from routine maintenance to a significant bike conversion project.Assembly of the stand was straightforward, and it initially appeared well-constructed with seemingly sturdy materials, though thinner than suggested. The adjustable height and 360-degree rotating clamp were attractive features, offering flexibility to accommodate different bike sizes and frames. The initial impression left me optimistic that this repair stand would be a reliable companion for my bicycle repair and modification tasks. However, my optimism quickly turned to disappointment during the stand's first real-world application. My initial project involved a 45 lb inexpensive metal bicycle, like those found in a well known discount store in the US, was well within the stand's specified weight capacity. To my surprise and dismay, the Gioventu stand struggled to provide the stable support I anticipated. The critical moment came when applying extra pressure with a breaker bar to deal with rusted nuts and bolts. The stand exhibited clear signs of instability, and at one point, it teetered dangerously close to toppling over or breaking. This experience raised serious concerns about the stand's ability to handle the demands of heavier bicycles during challenging repair tasks. It's worth noting that the stand performed adequately when dealing with non-rusted components, suggesting that it might suffice for lighter maintenance scenarios. However, the pivotal moment of instability during heavy-duty work casts a shadow over its suitability for more substantial tasks, such as the conversion of a mountain/trail bike into a hybrid touring model. The weight-related concerns are not the only issues that surfaced during my usage. The Gioventu stand lacks certain features that could enhance its overall functionality. Notably, there is no provision for securing the bike in a fixed position during repairs, making some tasks more cumbersome than they should be. While the adjustable height and rotational clamp are useful features, a more secure system for heavier, cheap bikes would have been appreciated, especially given the stand's heavy-duty marketing. The Gioventu Bicycle Repair Stand falls short of its heavy-duty claims, particularly under the weight of a 45 lb bike during challenging repair tasks. While it may suffice for lighter maintenance scenarios, potential buyers should be cautious about relying on it for heavy-duty projects, especially if approaching the advertised maximum weight capacity. The stand's limitations and its inability to withstand added pressure raise questions about its efficacy for users seeking a truly heavy-duty repair solution. Before making a purchase decision, it's crucial to carefully consider the intended use and weight capacity, as the stand may not meet expectations for those with demanding repair needs. Please note that I am an amateur at bicycle repair and this would be my first conversion. My conversion is to not only provide extra lumbar support and a more upright seating position during riding due to issues with my lower back. I was hoping to have the bicycle modified by the summer time to help strengthen some of my core muscles and legs along with being added to my weight loss routine as prescribed by my doctor. I will update this review after the conversion is completed or the stand fails completely. Please review my ratings. I rate products on a 5 star rating scale. A 1 star review is what would be considered complete trash or something completely unsafe. A 2 star review is a product that I would consider to be of a poor quality with too many concerns or problems that I would recommend potential buyers to NOT purchase. A 3 star review is more of a neutral review, it is neither recommended nor discouraged on purchase. Overall a 3 star review is good but in a more neutral way. Products receiving a 4 star review are good products that I would recommend. These products have more positive and good points and are worth taking a closer look on. Problems or concerns are minimal and nothing too serious. The much less common is the 5 star rating. This 5 star rating is for the products that I consider to be the most highly recommended, with so few or no problems or concerns that I have found, at least that are not those that are just me being picky. With the above rating system I use and the problems discovered so far with this bicycle work-stand, you may have a better understanding as why it is rated at a 3 star. I do believe that lighter bicycles along with lighter maintenance tasks would be more suitable with this stand. It has a nice small footprint when compacted for putting away when not being used and a smallish footprint when it is being used that people with limited space may like having this bicycle stand. Heavier bicycles may not have the amount of difficulty for lighter needs than I have as well as for those that have bicycles better maintained than my own.
