Gloves lovely
I think these gloves were a lovely hit! My son is an outdoorsy man. He really liked these! Thank you!

Tough Gloves
I use these gloves for lots of uses. Buckthorn trees have sharp, strong thorns. These gloves allow me to work all day without getting poked. They are still flexible enough to do lighter tasks with no loss of sensitivity.

Last longer than most leather gloves
My gloves tend to fail at the fingertips. Abrasion is what kills them. I've purchased many, many different goat/calf/etc. leather gloves over time and they all fail, usually within 8-10 months. They're usually $8-$12 bucks (harbor freight, homedepot, Amazon, different retailers). These Carhartt's lasted 13 months of regular use (mowing, chainsawing, moving lumber, building decks - normal homeowner use). I'd say that getting an extra 5 months out of ~the same money spent is a great deal.I'm going to try some different gloves to see if the abrasion resistance is higher, but as of this moment (45-year-old man, 15-year homeowner), these are the best I've had thus far.

Nice gloves
These are nice gloves, a little thinner than I expected but definitely decent for the price

Well made, should be durable, this is a repeat purchase.
These are great, and decent. I don't want to drop 2X 3X 4X on gloves-- you could get *slightly* better gloves for a lot mote money, but these are fine. If I were going to use gloves 40 hours a week, I'd pony up. I use gloves infrequently, but hard (moving firewood, masonry, rough lumber) so these suit our needs well. Good, solid, construction. Highly recommended.

Nice step-above yardwork gloves
Carhartt have always been known for great work gloves (although they're not the brand they used to be anymore). I use these for handling tools, brush, chainsaw, firewood stacking -- they're pretty tough! They've lasted one season and look like they'll wear for a few more seasons, no problem. The upper side is "breathable" so you're not sweating inside of a suede bag. Once wet, however you'd want to have another pair of gloves to change into (as you'd expect on any hot summer day, they will get damp with sweat). I wouldn't use these for very long in the garden - you should have latex coated gloves for that (wet soil would soak right into these, and also ruin the appearance).

Huge fan of these gloves!
We have a large family so we've bought 6 pairs of these gloves to work outside specifically for hauling firewood for our wood stove. We bought our first round of gloves in 2017 and we are just now having to reorder more. They've lasted much longer than any other work glove we've used. We don't wear them in cold weather so I'm not sure about that but highly recommend.

Excellent gloves. Maybe even *too* good.
I've bought these gloves a couple of times now as they keep getting pilfered. They're very comfortable if you get them in the correct size, and allow you a downright shocking amount of dexterity for leather work gloves. Plus they breathe a lot better than other leather gloves, so in spite of the cuff, they're never as hot as the standard leather open-wrist gloves. I've used them in construction, gardening, grilling, digging, sanding, moving, gripping, pulleying, driving heavy equipment, yard work, etc. The gloves have performed well through all of it. The cuffs have held up without fraying or coming unstitched, and the stitching on the leather and canvas seems very well done. These gloves are made to last... if you can keep people from swiping them.
