I love to camp, but I've never been able to sleep with the usual stuff-your-clothes-under-your-head method of most limited-packing-space camping that happens when you don't have a car to just toss everything in. So I figured an inflatable pillow would be a good option. I ordered this pillow in February because there was a rebate deal available, so I haven't had a chance to use it while actually camping yet. But I tried it overnight in bed at home for two nights, and it was surprisingly comfortable for an inflatable pillow. The first night I inflated it fully and it was a bit stiff on my neck. But the next night I inflated it slightly less than full and it made a huge difference. I was amazed that I slept through the night as well as I would have on my normal pillow. I really like the fabric cover; it's incredibly soft. The valve is easy to use to inflate and deflate. You wouldn't need to use a pump to fill it since it's a pillow not a whole mattress, but it looks like the opening would be big enough to accommodate a pump nozzle if for some reason you weren't physically able to fill it manually due to some kind of disability. It folds up very small, about the size of a fist, and comes with a handy storage bag. It also looks like it would be resistant to punctures, though I obviously haven't tested that out yet on a real camping trip. I'm really looking forward to trying it out on my next bike or canoe camping trip where storage space is limited. The one possible downside is that it does not have any rubber traction on the back to prevent slippage against slick sleeping bag material. But the cloth covering the pillow might have traction enough to avoid this issue. I'm curious to see how well it stays in place when I finally take it camping this summer. And FYI, it did have the usual plastic-y smell that all inflatables seem to have when you first remove them from the packaging. But it was gone by the next day, so it was not a problem. I highly recommend this inflatable pillow if you are like me and need a pillow while camping but have limited packing space.

After looking at many similar items and reading hundreds of reviews, I decided to give this one a try...and I am not disappointed.The pillow inflates and deflates easily. It's very lightweight and compact and it's easy to get into it's carrying bag and trust me, I've bought many products where that is virtually impossible.The material has a nice soft feel to it, not plasticky, so I don't think it will be sweat-producing even without a pillow case or other covering.I hope it holds up for a long time but if it doesn't, it has a warranty.If I could deduct like a tenth of a star, it would only be because to pull the plug for deflation took a bit of effort. It makes me wonder if the plug will eventually pull away from the fabric. But then, that's what warranties are for.

Small and light, perfect for back packing hikes.

I used it for several days. Fully inflated was too firm for me so I just let a little air out, and it was great! I can't imagine not being able to find a place to stuff this in a pack.

I wanted something to help me on a long upcoming flight, and hoped this was it. The box it just arrived in gave me hope as it is tiny, and I needed tiny to carry due to lack of space. It is easy to remove from the tiny pouch, and easy to inflate, both very positive. Having not traveled with it yet, I can’t comment on that, but it seems a little slippery (perhaps just due to its newness) so I might use a little pillow case for it. It is firm and seems to hold air very well. The deflation is also very easy as is it to roll and put back into tiny pouch. So far, this is a great product and I’m happy with it.

The pillow is just great! Two to 3 puffs and it's fully inflated. It also fully deflates and will fit back in the mini travel bag. Worked great on a 5 day outing!

This is by no means a comfortable pillow. You can adjust to your liking by changing how much air you have in it. It is quite slippery no matter the surface you have it on.I only keep this because it is so lightweight and portable. I can jam this into the bag supplied, toss in my pack, and hit the trails. This is better than nothing, but not the best for your neck.

Things I like - the dual valve system where it's easy both to inflate and deflate is nice, the surface is soft and does not feel plastic-y, I find the size, shape, and firmness you can achieve to result in a very comfortable pillow, and it's small and light enough that it doesn't feel like that much of a luxury item in my backpack. Dislikes - that valve cover is such a pain to open. I can't get a good enough grip on it to apply enough force to open it (which is considerable). Then, the shape of the valve cover makes it a pain to close it again. Maybe it will get easier as I use it more and it wears in, but straight out of the box, you'll be struggling.

I bought this before the camping season this year. Worked well for two trips only. Pillow no longer holds air. Not recommended.

We used i these pillows for a couple of our backcountry camping trips and we are both very happy with them. They’re extremely light, compact, and seemingly durable.The only complaint I have is around the difficulty of opening the cap - it’s so tight that sometimes it feels like the insert is going to tear right out (and it probably will at some point). Need to have a better way.
