Best torch out there

Bought this to replace my last Maglite purchased over 20 years ago that finally succumbed to corroded batteries. The incandescent bulb supplied in this torch is not great but the build of the torch is absolutely superb. I have given five stars because you can buy this torch and replace the bulb with a 300 lumen LED replacement from The Torch Site (or other sites) for an extra £12 which gives you a torch brighter than the Maglite LED torches which can retail at up to £90. Go for an LED upgrade and this is a briiliant, robust torch. And it's also quite heavy so can be used as self-defence tool if needed. This torch can be dropped, thrown driven over and it still works. I cannot recommend this highly enough.

As it's a Maglite i was expecting a certain standard, and am not disappointed, brilliant torch might have to invest in an led conversion for it, but its perfectly bright enough for normal use.

Brilliant torches that is to be said, unfortunately I made the mistake of not realising it was the 'bulb' version which has little brightness compared to the LED version so my main recommendation is to purchase an LED model.The 2 Cell LED torch I own is actually brighter than my 3 cell!

One of the icons of the twentieth century, the 3 battery Maglite is THE torch to keep in the car. Powerful enough for the emergency in the dark and heavy enough to double as a deterrent if needed. No woman should drive alone without one. This was a present for my daughter and came with lessons how to use it if approached by a stranger when she was on her own !!!

This is the second copy of this torch I've purchased. The other is simply by far the best torch I've ever had. I've had other torches that appear brighter for relatively short periods, but I've never had a torch that can remain unused for two years in a drawer and then when needed deliver instant reliable and effective light.

Maglite are still the best torches available. They have never seemed to compromise on quality over the years.

Beautiful torch

I love these flashlights, I keep them around the house and in my work truck and personal truck. I will be buying more.

The box was very old, torn and wide open. But the light seems fine. Works good. It comes with a spare light bulb which I finally found in the base. I like the blue color.
