Kink

I'm not going to lie—I've been a Howard Schatz fan for quite a while, so my expectations were high. And this book delivered. Howard's eye is always focused on images that are sensual, unusual and unforgettable, and KINK is filled with them. If provocative, stimulating art is what you're after, either for yourself or as a gift, look no further. (And, no, Mr. Schatz did not pay me to write this review! It's just a very cool concept, exceedingly well-executed.)

Despite a wide array of body types, there is not one identifiably Black / African-American in the entire book...and only a handful of other visible POC. Disappointing.

Arrived as described

A few years back my friend had his picture taken during FSF. He was later told in writing it would be included in an upcoming book and received polished copies of it. When recently he showed me the email and the pictures I researched the author who'd emailed him and found this book, specific to FSF. I went ahead and purchased this as a gift for him, only to discover that when I unwrapped it to put a bookmark on his page - he wasn't in it.Even though he's included in the list of contributors online, he's not in the book.Which is a shame since this is now being returned.

GREAT BOOK VERY PROVOCATIVE. KINK gives us a glimpse into a slice of a culture that view seem to know or understand.Kudos to Schatz and Ornstein.Purchase this book TODAY.

Loved this, perhaps lesser known project by Schatz and like a lot of Schatz work with the homeless takes a theme observed over a period and transforms it into high art. Definitely more akin to his work with the homeless than sports stars or dancers in terms of its approach and both technically and artistically brilliant gives a powerful glimpse into a particular (sub)culture (no pun intended).The theme may not be for everyone, but fully recommend to Schatz fans and others, both those into the scene and those outside who wish an insight into the kink / fetish world.
