A real hero, a lovely lady and crazy family - wonderful reads!
I stumbled on the Liam Quinn series a couple of weeks ago and was hooked immediately. A hero that is really trying to make things right from his past, a lovely lady and a crazy family, all getting involved in great adventures. For me, this was the best so far, probably because Quinn and Nora eventually got togehter and work together.I can greatly recommend these books if you like a good yarn, great characters and a not too involved plot that no-one can believe in any case. This is probably as close to real live adventures that I have been able to find over the last couple of years where we have gotten used to impossible plots and super heros.

A Good Read
Iβm getting a bit concerned that Ian may be mailing them in. Not nearly as intellectually stimulating as the dirt 3 books. Almost predictable

Another excellent read
Another unusual story, a somewhat thoughtful story. Made you think beyond your believe. I love that this book touched mental health in a very positive way. Not delved in too much, but enough to make you think. Here we could see that Quinn really is a good person. You might think he thinks about money too much, but it's understandable, given his needs. And he's still being a good samaritan despite the unknown money subject.Keep going to the next book.

My opinion--The best one yet.
Quinn really works two cases in this book. One is out of the goodness of his heart and the other starts as part of his job and ends up to clean his name. I really like this series. Quinn's girlfriend, Nora is more involved in this one, which is good. She adds a lot to the book. They both try to help George Will who is a nut, or is he. After all, as he keeps saying, he has a trust fund. Also we have again the characters of Tommy Tam and Vin" The Shin". They always add a lot to the reading. They give the local police department a fit but not a bad one.A good read. I enjoyed it. Many different people, Quinn's family is always good for a laugh. You get to feel like you know the whole bunch after reading several of the books.Keep up the good work Mr. Thomson.

and seldom has an easy answer for whatever is going on
Quinn and the Vanishing Bride is book 4 involving insurance investigator Liam Quinn. Quinn has a penchant for getting mixed into thorny situations through no fault ( Okay, a little fault) of his own. This usually involves guns, beatings, and running away! Unlike most fictional heroes, Quinn does NOT win every fight, and seldom has an easy answer for whatever is going on.But, that does not mean he cannot think quickly, or come up with some truly convoluted solutions to the situations he is involved in.Quinn's efforts to keep off the Law's bad side, and off the bad side of many local gangsters (who know, or know of him), are often enjoyable, and humorous.I read book # 1. ( it was great), and now, book 4. Quinn stands the test of time ( or, at least, sequels).I highly recommend this book.

Addicted
Ok I emit it. I've become addicted to the Quinn series! Finished them all last week.In addition to good stories and compelling characters the pacing nod flow are just great. My own little aside is to play "catch the Brit" as I assume the author comes from the UK?"Queue" instead of "line" "budgie" vs "canary" I won't say any more so as to not spoil a good drinking game!

Another fun and twisted plot.
L Thomson can put mor angles, twists and turns in a plot and make it so much fun and interesting. It all works out in the end without feeling like a Pollyanna story. I can't wait to see what Quinn is up to next. I'm head over heels in love with him, but I like Nora too much to be jealous. Great read!
