This is a great extension lead that can fit different plugs (international) and at 5m is long enough to meet most sorts of requirements, such as using it with my weed burner in the garden.The power rating of 2500W means at 240v it can draw up to 10.4 amps, with a fuse of 13A.Now if you look at similar 5m multi-gang extension sockets with surge protection (also rated 13A)), which even comes with USB ports, those may be better value.So unless you want to use this lead for just one specific purpose, ie extending power for one equipment only, you may find it better value to choose the multi-gang power extension.Otherwise, this product does get 5 stars for all other aspects - safety, quality, durability, fit for purpose etc...

Got this to use in conjunction with my heated blanket in the winter as the fitted cords for these are often too short to reach our sofa or chairs from the nearest socket and you may not want to use a large 4 gang extension socket , ok you can use this for many applications but this is what we bought this for.This extension is very well made , rugged soft plastic / rubber like material which is said to be fireproof although I would never want to test that functionality. A long 5 metre cord terminated in a UK 3 pin plug and a universal type socket that can be used for various european standards plus obviously the UK socket.OK at £20 it is on the higher side of extensions but as they say you get what you pay for and you know this is quality as soon as you take it out of its strong box.All CE certified and safety marks so yes it is recommended.

This is a 5mtr long (16.5ft) single extension with a heavier electrical cord that can be used to safely power a higher draw electrical item like a lounge simulated flame fire with a built in heater fan.It has surge protection built in as well as a very clever multi-variant socket that can cope with European plug standards as well as standard UK plugs.We have a solid fuel stove for the colder Winter months but in the Autumn and Spring our trusty old Dimplex fire is enough to take the chill off in the evenings and because it has a 2kwh fan as well as the faux flame effect this is the perfect lead to plug it into.When we light the fire I will use this to power an oil filled radiator on our Landing, where there is no electrical outlet at all! This beauty is long enough to use the socket in the hallway below with ease!This one lead has solved two problems and I am very happy with it!Happy to help!

At first you might be thinking that this is quite an expensive extension lead style cable but once you get it you soon realise that you’ve actually paid for a quality product.It can handle UK and European style plugs and comes in at around 5 metres of cable. This is thick, well insulated cable with a Velcro fastener to help keep it tidy when not in use. It looks and feels like a quality product and, with built in surge protection, it should help keep you and your devices safe.The main purpose of a cable like this is to allow you to use a high-powered electrical device without being sat next to a wall socket. Lots of electrical devices draw too much power to be considered safe to use with a normal extension lead. This cable gives you flexibility and safety.I’m using it at the moment to position my dehumidifier around the house. Dehumidifiers can draw a fair bit of power and typically come with short power leads, so this cable is an ideal solution for me.
