Sundown Naturals Black Cohosh, 540 mg, Capsules, 100 ct.

I have had hot flashes periodically for the last two years. This fall I began having them again with such frequency that it was very hard to get through the day. I was having about 1 to 2 hot flashes per hour and they would last several minutes and at the end of each one I was drenched in sweat and felt very weak. My husband did some research on the internet for herbal remedies for this because I was not able to do hormone replacement therapy. When he mentioned Black Cohosh I was skeptical but was willing to give it a try. I had tried other natural supplements to my diet in the past like soy,with no results. When it came in the mail I started my first dose that day. I took a whole capsule and literally I could almost immediately feel the difference. Within 2 days my hot flashed completely subsided and now I am free of them and I've been taking this product for about 2 1/2 to 3 weeks. I did decide to half the capsule and only take half a day. This seems to work for me. I can't say enough about this product. I have read studies that they are not sure if it affects the liver, so I think everyone should do a little research about Black Cohosh before taking it themselves, but it has done for me that nothing else could do without having to turn to prescription hormone replacement therapy.

I have been taking black cohash for many years for menopause symptoms. I have tried different brands, but this is the one that seems to work the best. I may still have 1-2 hot flashes during the day and 1-2 during the night, never severe. I stopped taking it once to see what would happen and I had hot flashes every 2 hours. I take it twice a day morning and night.

Didn't work for me, but was fun to try a natural alternative to estrogen replacement.

I ordered this product to help with hormonal imbalances that occur right before and during my cycle. It seems to be helping as this month of taking this product was significantly better than months previous! I take one pill every morning.
