Q: How many would i need for an oversized California king blanket?

If you're doing it all in single crochet, get 10 just to be safe. If you're using double crochet, 8 should be enough.

Q: Is it good for hand knitting? ( like is it chunky enough )

It’s good for hand knitting but is not chunky at all. It made up pretty but light weight.

Q: How many skeins will I need for a 50 x 60 blanket?

I'd get four, although you may only need 3. It depends on the sie of your hook and how tight you crochet. Also, I found a 15mm hook works best.

Q: How thick is it? Need to know asap

Use a 15mm crochet hook for best results. I tried a 25mm earlier and it was too loose and holey.
