Second Chance at Love
I always look forward to reading another one of Deborah Bladon's books. You get to meet new characters & how they are involved with characters from her previous books. This story is about Kate who we know owns a Bridal Store in Manhattan. She had previously lived in California & decided to move to Manhattan after being dumped by her boyfriend just before their wedding. How ironic that she decides to buy a Bridal Salon! As usual, there are many twists & turns in Kate's story that keeps you interested in what will happen next. Another enjoyable read from Deborah Bladon!

Deborah’s books are always a joy to read .
Gage & Kate were looking forward to their wedding only a few days before the event Gage suddenly calls the wedding off with no explanation. Totally destroyed emotionally Kate leaves California and goes to New York where she opens up of all things a bridal shop . Unbeknown to Kate ,Gage after coming to his senses returns to their apartment to find her gone , after getting no joy in finding his ex fiancé he also packed up and moved to New York where instead of going into medicine he bought a bar . While their businesses flourish both were unaware that they were in the same city, It took a few years for that to change and their pasts caught up with them . They met again when Annalise the bride and her party come into Kate’s shop looking for a dress for the big day, the bridal party included the groom & the grooms best friend who is to be the best man is non other than Kate’s ex Gage. Initially both are totally shocked at seeing one another after all this time , and once again Kate’s emotions are turned upside down, but after the initial shock Gage sees this as a second chance for them . First though he knows that he’s got to “man up” and apologise and try to explain what happened all those years ago ,which is not going to be easy as has decided Kate that she doesn’t want anything to do with him . When she turns to her two besties Olivia & Tilly for guidance she hopes their words of wisdom will point her in the right direction both encourage her to listen to what Gage has to say in way of an explanation . The story is full of emotional turmoil on both sides that needs to be sorted out before they can reach the ending that everyone loves to read 😍😍 . Perhaps if I could make one tiny suggestion , maybe we could have had a bit more of the background relationship between Gage & his parents as it seems it was not good at all ,and certainly their comment in-front of Kate was not very nice . As with all of Deborah’s books they are always a joy to read I’m always fascinated how she manages to include characters from the previous books in the series , it’s like reading about old friends.

Good story.
Katie and Gage's story was good. The author wrote the story as if they were really in sync with each other. They knew what the other was thinking about and what they were doing (Kate-day). Their friends were supportive and there when they needed them. I do not believe Gage was celibate for 5 years.
