A nice alternative to the Nikon Battery Grip at 1/4 of the price.
At first I wasn't sure how I felt about the Meike Battery Grip for the Nikon D850. It felt more fragile than what I remember my old Nikon grips felt like. Upon inspection of Nikon's grip. I think the Meike build quality is better than I gave it credit. Functionally, it operates as well as the Nikon grip, providing 9 fps. when using the Pro sized batteries. The dial and button doesn't have that nice rubberized feel of the Nikon grip, but it's not bad either. The remote is a nice addition and works well once I figured how to pair it with the grip. A bonus for me is that my Kirk Arca L-Bracket for the D800/D810 battery grip fit the Meike grip snugly (although it will not fit the Nikon D850 grip). That saved an additional $150 to $190 for a new L-Bracket.

Works perfectly on my D850, and I like having the remote!
Works 100% with my D850 and gives me 9fps using a Nikon EN-EL 18c battery. I chose this because of the built-in receiver for their included radio controlled transmitter for wireless operation. The only reason I can think of to go with Nikon is if you want all the buttons and textures to feel the same as those on your camera. The main difference is the shutter release and style of joystick. The shutter release clicks softly when you take a picture. Makes no difference to me. The only Nikon part I bought is the battery. I don't trust 3rd party batteries, and I have tried many over the last couple of decades including Wasabi. Name brand batteries are more reliable, last practically forever and last longer per charge. This has been my experience with Nikon, Sony, GoPro, Fujifilm, and others. Be sure to get ASIN B00FDD40AA for the battery (DSTE version of the BL-5) and the Wasabi charger.

Nice Grip
I cant get the remote to pair with the grip, however I only messed with it a short while. This isn't as important to me as the quality of the grip, which is very nice. It matches up nice with my D850, my battery info is correct, and the unit fits good and secure, with no movement. I used it the day after I recieved it at a Cross Country meet I was being paid to photograph. I took 3200 pictures without a hiccup. Very pleased with the purchase. I plan on messing with the remote some more this week. If I get it to pair, I will update my rating to 5 stars. Really though, even if the remote never works, this grip is still worth the money!

Skip the OEM - This is better.
This is essentially better than the OEM version, which I returned. With the en-el18b battery you will get 9 FPS, BUT you must use the 3rd party battery cover. For some reason the Nikon cover doesn't give the 9 FPS. The build feels excellent and the shutter button is MUCH nicer than the Nikon mushy button on the OEM. The remote works flawlessly. Nikon should look at this unit and go back to the drawing board. Search the grip on Youtube and you'll find my review.

Great battery grip with remote control.
Very good and firm product. Feels good. It is also lighter than the equivalent Velo grip I have. Had some problem with wireless remote but it eventually worked fine. I am happy with the purchase so far.

Awesome quality at about one fourth the price of the oem version
I still haven't figured out how to make this remote work but it has a lot of features holds the batteries nice and strong I don't know why I would spend more money for the Nikon brand when this and works great and has more features highly recommended it's just great value for the money and it appears to be very rugged to I'm very happy with mine does everything it says it would do and maybe even more headed for about a month and I'm still learning some of the stuff

Worked for a while
Worked fine for a few weeks. I took some time off and now the 'front pulling wheel', 'multiple-button', and the 'Deputy dial' no longer function. Of course, the return window closed nine days ago. So, now I will spend even more money to get the Nikon version. S*cks to be me.

Pleasantly Surprised
Was skeptical when I went to buy the Meike D850 Power Grip as it is $300 less than the Nikon version and the Meike has a wireless remote control the Nikon does not have. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the unit and even happier when it fit nice and tight to the bottom of my D850 with no wiggling or play. The controls are in the same place as the Nikon version and have a nice positive feel responding well to my touch. It took a while to figure out how to make the remote control work as the user guide is close to useless (that's why 4 instead of 5 stars), but once I got it working, it's great! The only complaint I have about the remote is that it doesn't have a power switch, so once you put in the batteries, its stays on. One thing makes me uncomfortable. It is obvious they reverse engineered the Nikon equivalent and just plain copied it right down to how the battery compartments look and function. As an engineer, I don't condone copying other engineer's work, but the $300 difference indicates Nikon pricing is unrealistic. Nikon would do well to add the wireless remote to it's unit and drop the price to stay competitive. I highly recommend the Meike D850 Power Group over the Nikon version.
