Very powerful
No gel packs just triple A batteries that you can get from poundland you get some with it, I have noticed a difference already and I'm only on day 4 and the batteries still havent run out setting 34E is best for me my girlfriend could only go to 30 it is great for the price and amazing that you can get such a shock from batteries. Keep away from children and don't wear it over your heart. Excellent quality.

Bought to strengthen core muscles, not to get a six-pack.
I bought this belt as I have extremely weak core muscles and always did (due to unfortunate genetic reasons), but it has got worse since having children. This results in back pain and affects my mobility, as well as my ability to do even the most basic abdominal exercises effectively. While I am relatively strong and very fit in other days, having a weak core is letting me down. So my idea was to strengthen my abdominal muscles using this, to a level where I have more core strength, along with exercising in a conventional fashion. I had a similar scenario a few years back but with my pelvic floor muscles, used a pelvic floor EMS device to wake up my muscles and get me started and I was able to perform pelvic floor exercises correctly after a few weeks.I was going to get a slendertone belt but after doing a bit of research I decided on this one instead, as it seems more logical to exercise the back and abdominal muscles at the same time. Also this one was considerably cheaper (especially with a 20 percent off voucher amazon offered on the day I ordered) but had more features than the slendertone belts, such as the ability to pause the routine, the no need for gel electrodes and greater adjustability of the belt. The instructions are ok but could be more detailed and have more diagrams. 'Setting up' the belt is easy enough, insert the batteries and adjust the side straps. The side straps could have been designed better, on the left side the strap is rigid but covered with a soft tube of stretchy fabric and on the right side, which is where the belt fastens and unfastens, the strap is made from a very stretchy but sturdy elastic. I am not sure why they could not have used the elastic on both sides, as both the back and front parts of the unit tend to ride over towards the left. The rigid material used for the left strap also makes it harder to get really good electrode contact on that side. The electrode surfaces are wet with water, along with the stomach and back prior to use and this eliminates the need for gel. Wetting the inside of the belt is harder than it looks as the material is highly water repellent, but I managed to apply enough water to get it to 'work' nonetheless.I used the programme that is set to start automatically when the unit is first switched on, and put the intensity up as far as was comfortable which was ten. After my first session I definitely noticed a difference and could feel my muscles more. My stomach also feels like I have done a short abdominal workout, so I am hopeful this will work as I wanted it to. Time will tell.

Much better than Slendertone
This belt from Beurer works much better than Slendertone at half the price. Also there are no expensive gel pads to replace, just use water. There are also other ems belts that use water and I think that's the way forward. The belt is a bit designed a bit for thinner people, hardly any spare fitting round my waist! But that's about my only criticism. I use it 8 times a day which is a lot but then I need to lose my excess asap. I chose this belt as it's programs are simple compared to other belts- Just put it on program E the strongest! Most importantly, could I suggest that beurer make a model with more electrodes like others on the market.

Returned
This product is not safe to use. I’ve had a similar product before which was great however this one is terrible in comparison. The belt did not fit properly to ensure good contact with skin but the biggest issue was with the controller. When you first use the belt you turn up the strength to the desired level. When the belt is in use the power gradually increases gradually tensing your muscles. However, if you want to increase the intensity though our the cycle which often you will want to the divide immediately raises to this level with no gradual build up which is incredibly painful and feels like it rips your muscles. Can’t be good for your body. Sent back for refund. I do not recommend. In this case, pain is not gain!

Not great for slim people
The product is OK, but I preferred my old Slendertone. This model feels somewhat cheaply made and the dangling cable feels like something that will break. Most importantly for me, I (as a fairly slim person) find it very difficult to keep all of the electrodes in contact with my stomach. Even when I pull the belt as tight as it will go, they still don't make full contact. In part this is because the belt is made of a very stiff material that doesn't conform well to the shape of my body, and in part it is due to the use of water-activated electrodes instead of sticky gel pads. The only way I can get the belt to work properly is to press it against my stomach or to sit down and awkwardly lean forward—neither of which are particularly practical for a full thirty-minute session...

This really does work!
I have had a Burer belt for some years and thought it was time to upgrade to the latest model with back stimualtion included. The belt is lighter than my old model and the controls are almost the same so nice and familiar. New users should start with lower settings as this can pack a bit of a punch as you raise the intestity so you need to get used to the senstation and build up over time. Be careful with waist size on this as it soes not come with an extension like my old one did. Used daily for 30 minutes this is much less tiring than an exercise wheel or doing lots of sit-ups. This will make a difference but only when used in conjunction with some other aerobic exercise and some adjustment to your diet by reduccting calorie intake. More than happy with my new Burer belt and look forward to another few years of great service from it.

I can really feel it working after just one use.
My aim for using this belt was to slim down my bloaty stomach. Yes I have a poor diet which causes it, but I'm not really cut out for the intensity of going to the gym. I have to think of something to help, and I believe this is it.
