These work exactly like the originals. Easy to pair, similar quality, etc. The one thing I hate about the original keypads is that they don't beep when you press a button. And in the winter while wearing gloves, it's nice to have an audible feedback when a button press registers. I have another 3rd party keypad that has a beep, and I can enter my code way faster because I don't have to worry about mashing the buttons hard to ensure they register.That said, this is just like the OEM ones. And, now I have two extra remotes so I can finally put one in a vehicle that didn't have one, as well as my ATV.

My keypad for my garage door stopped working. I looked at a lot of options but settled on this kit. This kit comes with the keypad and two remotes. Physical installation is very easy. The only part you may have problems with is connecting it to the garage opener. This has nothing to do with the device. You need to determine you Genie opener model and find the instruction to program a remote to it. From there, just follow the connection instructions from your opener and it is connected. I do not know if Genie openers have a limit on the number of devices tha can be connected to it or not, so refer to the instructions that came with your opener. The keypad has a nice cover to help keep water off of the keypad. The remotes have the same range that my original ones do and have worked flawlessly so far. If you need to add or replace a keypad for a Genie garage door opener then I recommend buying this kit. Even if you don’t need the remotes now, you can save them for the future. Great buy for the money!!

Both the keypad and the two remotes can be programmed to operate up to 3 doors. Entering the PIN in the keypad powers the door activation button for 15 seconds, allowing for a change of heart should stopping the door be necessary.I had little trouble installing the keypad to my Overhead Door motor by following the instructions printed under the cover. I did set my own pin first and then programmed it to the door before mounting the unit to the door jamb. Reading the instruction booklet before mounting the keypad would have made the process easier. I also programmed one of the remotes, reserving the other for future use. The remotes come with visor clips or can be attached to a keychain if desired.This keypad does make it much easier to open the garage while I am dashing back and forth fixing the roof, looking for tools, and grabbing packages even though I could already open the door via my phone or Alexa. My old keypad was discolored and missing the lid for the last 8 years!! The new one works fine and super easy to program. I just pushed one button on the opener and put in the combination. Portable controls work the same way. One thing is the portables are very easy to activate accidentally, so not suitable for purse or pocket. I like the fact that the new pad has AA batteries instead of 9 volt like my old one. I suspect most are that was simply because newer electronics just require less power.The hole spacing was not the same as the old one because the unit is smaller. So I had to put the lower screw in a different spot after hanging it on the old top screw. Not hard, really, but it does leave a spot of old paint exposed that I will have to touch up.

Got this because we needed a panel for our two garage doors. The installation is easy if you follow the directions. Especially where it says to program the keypad before installing it. There are several key presses you have to do while programming, and its a lot easier when you can stand under the opener and press the code button while you're working the pad.I was able to program and test the pad and the two remote fobs for both openers in about five minutes. Installation of the keypad to the wall was maybe another five.They synced easily with both of my Genie garage door openers.Super easy install and sync.

Both the car remotes and the external garage door opener are programmed easily and fast and include clear instructions on how to do so, with 2 different systems. You just need to watch for the number of lights that flicker thru each phase of installation.
