**UPDATE**I liked this so much that I ordered a 2nd one to give as a gift. While I was waiting for it to arrive I tried out some of the other tubes with mine as I had only used the mushroom one. Well, the tongue tube didn't glow as orange as the mushroom, and the other 2 didn't glow at all. When my 2nd one arrived I opened it to test if those tubes all glowed bright orange. Unfortunately the unit wouldn't even turn on. So I tested the tubes in mine. The mushroom tube didn't glow as bright as mine, but the other tubes all glowed nice and bright. I was able to end up with one good set out of the 2 and I returned the other one. So be sure to test all your tubes when they arrive as they seem to be having quality control issues. I do stand by the rest of my original review. I really like it and it's working well for me. I hope they get their qc issues resolved.Original review:OK, so I have to admit, when I first saw this I had no idea what it was. But it was interesting enough for me to do a little research before ordering it, as well as watching several youtube videos about how to use one at home. I am pushing 60, so acne is not a problem for me anymore, but I am plagued by large pores and of course the wrinkles are setting in. The videos and articles I saw seemed to all agree that this can help your skin produce more collagen so I decided to give it a try.I agree with other reviewers that the instructions are somewhat lacking. These devices can be used with or without gauze, but the instructions for this one say to put a piece of gauze on the end of the wand with a rubber band. I didn't listen to this advice. Instead I washed my face and put a nice thick coat of castor oil on my neck and face. I then chose the mushroom tip, turned the unit on to the lowest setting, put my finger on the stem to discharge the static before touching it to my face. Once I put it on my face I removed my finger and just kept the wand in constant contact. If I forgot and lifted it without placing a finger on it first, it felt like a slight static shock, way less severe than I get on a daily basis in winter when the furnace is running and everything is dry and static-ey.So far I've been using it for a little over a week. Sometimes every day, sometimes every other day. I have been steadily increasing the intensity because the lowest setting didn't even make my face pink at all. I'm assuming some redness is desirable to know it's bring circulation to the area. I'm using it at a medium setting now and it does cause my skin to pink up slightly. It's been too short of a time period for me to see any difference on wrinkles, but I can say it is shrinking a particularly large pore I had near my nose. I actually lift the wand and spark that area a couple times during my session and was pleasantly surprised to see it already appears smaller.In summary, don't be intimidated, the "shock" you get, especially if using oil with it, is less than you would get by walking across carpet in your socks and touching a door handle in winter. I don't feel any discomfort while using it with some oil or moisturizer on my face. I have not tried it on dry skin. The set seems very well built and the box it comes in can be used for storage to keep the tips safe. I have normal skin, not oily or dry, and I have not noticed any drying effect from using this, but again I'm slathering my skin with oil during treatment and wiping off the excess with a tissue afterwards, so that helps moisturize. I like it a lot and hope it will help with wrinkles and dark circles as well as it's helping reduce my pores.

I was very intrigued after seeing this item, I was not familiar with high frequency, mechanisms. I first had to assure myself that it was not just a trendy gimmick. It appears to be of good quality and is actually quite impressive. Research gave me relative assurance that there was in fact, some very good benefits that could come from using this item properly. Although I’ve done my research, I’m taking this to my dermatologist office when I go for my appointment. Hoping to learn firsthand from the expert how to use it properly and exactly what benefits I can reap from it. If you see a dermatologist, I would think this would be a good idea for their specific skin types and needs. Just to be on the safe side. I’m really looking forward to seeing what this can do for fading dark spots, increasing collagen and smoothing appearance. This girl loves her cosmetic toys and I’m really anxious to get started :-)
