This product is great the last external CD/DVD drive I bought was a dud but this one works great and has extra useful features.

Worked ONCE...
I first used it as a backup source...created several folders and files. using both Win10 and Win 11 laptops. Worked fine. Later, I went in to add more .pdf files, then after searching noises, the drive could not locate any files! Windows shows the drive, but it seems lost as it looks...What a cheap, crappy unit! Next time, I'll stick with separately-powered, name-brands, like Plextor and Sony.

If their supporting documantations is poor...
I'll just say that the product description and reviews are convincing that this is a pretty good product. However, I've learned over many years that looks can be deceiving, and regardless of how well I think I know a piece of equipment I should always read the instructions first, and when a manufacturer provides NO supporting documrntatuion with their product, or what little info they may provide is incorrect or useless, one should be skerptical. So lets just say I'm skeptical about this product. I received it overnight, so delivery was exceptional (and an order that actually is delivered overnight is an erxception in itself). Quality and dersign appear to be good. But I'm using this with a MacBook and I go looking to see if there are any instructions (dos and don'ts or drivers I may need to download etc) and the only documenttion in a business size card that says scan this QR code to download user manual or go to the website. Since I want the manual on my Mac I go to the website. What do I get? I get another QR code. Just a larger version. Scan that and the best I can get is an error code. Repeatedly. So to me that is a reflection of the overall quality of this product. Regardless of how well it may perform otherwise, my impression at this point is as shown in the 3 star review.
