Durable and waterproof
This Gore-Tex jacket is amazing! It’s incredibly lightweight yet offers excellent protection against rain and wind. The waterproof and breathable fabric keeps me comfortable even during heavy downpours or intense outdoor activities. The fit is great, and the jacket allows for plenty of movement.

Very Nice...
... recommended even.Long story short; the Columbia Sportswear jacket which I adore has been sent to the circus of warranty repair & since we are in the season of Rainy but less than Heat Death here in Hell (Texas 🤮) a stand in was required.Comfortable and available in the Great! color of bright orange - a bit shy of High Viz but quite Orange nonetheless / Good fit / Very lightweight / Appears breathable though venting slits are not obvious / adequate though not huge pockets - would be nice if the lone interior pocket zipped closed and tbh all the pockets could be 25% bigger.Materials and construction seem well done - hood detached without complaint & zippers appear sturdy if not oversized. An excellent light anti-rain jacket for warmer times but the 2XL is not big enough for layers underneath; 6'5" / Big Boy here with 48 chest for reference...Me? I'm gonna have the Columbia replacement sent in size Extra Barron Harkonnen so when cold AND wet are presenting in the outside there will be room for insulation; other than my built-in, of course 😎~ RECOMMENDED ~Cheers from Texas,Billy 🏴☠️💚🏳️🌈🇺🇦🖖✌️

Check chest sizing before you purchase
I purchased this jacket based on it's price, color, and because it's water proof. I'm 6'2" and purchased large. It arrived exactly on time, packaged well. Great fit in the sleeves, I"m 34-35, length was good also, however, the chest fit was much larger than expected. I ended up having to return it, and started the search all over again, given sleeve length for the large was just right, I did not want to chance downsizing to medium. It looks great, bright colors, and looks very durable, I would have kept it if chest part was not so large.

Great Jacket and Worth It
Water proof and very wind resistant. It was comfortable and very durable. The pockets were also waterproof and kept my stuff dry in some pretty harsh winds, rain and snow.

Value and style
I like the look, feel and quality of the product along with the price. It fits well and seems to be exactly what I wanted. I made the purchase for a fly fishing trip to Brazil. Hope I don't have to use it but it will be brought along as a backup in case of bad weather.

Great jacket
My grandson needed a reliable jacket that would keep him warm and dry during Atlanta's transitional cooler and rainy season. I bought this jacket based on the reviews and hope this review furthers sales for this product. This jacket is everything the description and reviews say. It looks wonderful on him (he's 6' 2"), is warm and water proof. The hood is a great addition. He says he is comfortable without feeling confined- he does a lot of walking- and doesn't feel like he needs to over layer to stay warm. Loves the deep pockets. To quote my daughter "this is a REALLY nice jacket." I purchased the XL for him.

Soggy, Not Waterproof
Not waterproof! I was going to give this jacket 5 stars the first rainy day I used it on a rainy beach day. Light rain on and off. I was dry. Loved the many zipped pockets and hood. It looks good on and measurements were right. I ordered a large for a 5 foot 3 person weighing 164lbs. There was enough room for layering if needed too.The next day on the Oregon beach the wind was gale force and the rain was torrential. I stayed about an hour. Upon taking it off my first and second layer of clothing were damp. Arms, chest and back. Not dripping wet but damp. It is water resistant only! I will keep it as it is good looking and I can use it on light rainy days. I’m sure if I had been outside for hours I would have been soaked. It’s like many products stating they are waterproof and they are not. I live in a rain Forrest and love walks along the beach. I will have to spend more to get waterproof.

Fantastic mid-grade jacket. Mine is typhoon-rated.
I bought this jacket at the last minute (literally in the middle of the night one day) before a month long trip to Japan. The weather forecasts updated, and there was going to be a brush with a typhoon. I got the jacket, tried it on, removed the tags, and threw it into an already-packed bag.I bought one size up (XL) for my thin, but tall frame. I like a little extra length in the sleeves and waist, and it was perfect. I'd say that the sizes are "true" to my experience, but again, I like stuff a little roomy. The jacket performed admirably in the field. Coupled with an umbrella, 3-5 cm/hr rainfall never penetrated. 20-30 mph winds didn't cut through to the fleshy creature within. It was just warm enough to make the difference on those chilly days, without melting me from the humidity. The rest of the trip, it happily rolled up into just more than a softball-sized wad in my bag (whether I hauled it around in my satchel, or packed it away with the luggage).I'm very happy with the quality and my short-term perceived durability. As others mentioned, the zippers are pretty cheap-feeling, and I'm sure that they'll be the failure point under harder use. For an occasional rain-jacket, I think this will do the trick nicely, however.
