Bubblefin Aquarium Carbon Dioxide CO2 Monitor Glass Drop Checker with Solution PH Indicator (U Shape Checker)

This is a great glass drop checker. It's modern and sleek design adds a neat level of suffistacated aquarium functionality and will work wonderfully with glass Lilly pipes or standalone stock black. I gave it five stars because it came earlier than expected and at a Aesthetic quality I had wanted. My only con is that, like most drop checker solutions, the one that came with this product has outdated directions, or ones that experienced artists will find wron as it does tell you to add aquarium water or (as best I can figure out) to use the solution as a standalone product for Co2 measurement. Well, it's a concentrated solution, so using either of these methods I believe will provide false accuracy. So, with a little planning ahead that problem won't affect you. Just purchase a 4dkh water solution as well and use it in place of the directions. If seller would provide correct information regarding this solution it would make hobbyist's new to Co2 have a much easier time. I have no other problems than this small bit of information and still believe skier deserves 5 stars.

I am definitely not an expert on drop checkers, but this product seems way off. Instructions say to apply 1.5 mL of the indicator solution to the checker and then place it in the tank. If you do this, the color will remain dark blue forever, and that is because you haven't added any 4dKH solution, which the instructions don't even mention. Also, the instructions say you can get a faster reading if you simply ad 5-15 drops of the CO2 test solution to your aquarium water, which I've read is a completely bogus and inaccurate way of reading your CO2 levels. In summary, the product seems sketchy, the directions are vague, and certain ingredients are left out of the picture altogether.

I have a plastic orb drop checker and have been wondering why the solution isn't reading the CO2 levels-it is always blue, so I got this one as a backup and within half an hour it was confirming that the CO2 levels were good with a nice green color. Beautiful shape and I was afraid my Kuhli loaches and corys would go into it-but they haven't. My only regret is not getting one like this earlier. Great price, super fast ship and the indicator solution works-don't wait or shop around, this one was the best price I could find and is glass, not plastic.

The instructions are difficult to understand. I did get the products listed but I am not sure if it is working.EDIT: After lots of research and some consulting with more experienced aquascapers, I found that this product is working as expected. I still give it 3 stars bease the instructions are hard to follow.

Good quality parts and does its job. Remember to clean tank where suction cup will attach. I forgot and was fortunate to have the bell sink and land right side up without contamination. After cleaning the suction cup has held fine.

Works great. Comes with well-made glass, suction cup, pre-mix solution of 4dkh and a plunger/needle thing-y to easily insert the solution into glass. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention it comes in a really nice little box too.

The convenient solution made for a quick installation. The suction cup holds nicely on a clean aquarium wall. I love the globe shape over the traditional model. For the first few days it seems to give the same reading as my pH probe, so I believe it works well.

I got the ball checker version. It's something different than traditional and so it's quite nice. However it feels nothing like glassware more of a hard plastic. Does it's job and looks better than a traditional checker.
