Needs additional software for Mac
I am giving this adaptor only one star but only for Mac. Although it is advertised as needing no additional drivers, this does not apply to Mac where, after changing, in Sound in System Preferences, input to USB Audio Device and output to internal speakers (or to USB Audio Device) and appropriate adjustment of volumes, no sound comes through the Mac’s perfectly-functional speakers. This is despite the analogue sound signal fed through the USB Adaptor does correctly appear on the Mac’s input level slide indicator. I contacted Apple and, after a long thorough remote connection troubleshooting, the verdict was that this adaptor does not work unless through the intermediary of another software, such as Garage Band or Quicktime (in recording mode). The seller, however, insisted that it should work without the additional software.

Clean sound and no more random buzzing from my laptop soundcard
I received this external sound card very promptly and after fully testing in a few of my PC's it is very good. The sound I found to be brighter and a little louder. My reason for buying was not due to needing a louder sound card, the issue I had related to my laptop which is running windows 7 and every now and then I was getting a buzzing sound coming through the headphone socket which was not good when running family parties/discos. After updating all drivers etc the noise would still happen. I researched and found this seems to be a problem experienced by many with the advise of get an external sound card. Well for me this has worked perfectly for my needs and so far no more buzzing and for a very reasonable price, thank you.

Quality audio to USB converter
This simple well-made device allows you to convert a USB device to a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack and microphone. For only £6, it can be used to change an older model gaming headset to plug in via your computer's USB port. The USB 2.0 end is male so is only an output which the other ports are female therefore input. As I said, this is great for upgrading audio devices which would normally use your audio jack ports on your computer or similar. Some headsets would benefit being directly connected via USB rather than the analog basic input which Windows doesn't give adequate boost to (I use an external amp for music played on a PC).The adapter comes in a nice silver metallic finish, looks very sylish and is a very low and affordable price. I really liked the simplicity and pricing of this converter and it is very useful and a quality product.

It works
I've an oldish computer and the internal sound card went faulty. I thought I would have to buy a used PCI sound card as its the only slot I had spare but then I spotted this. It works perfectly (as a sound output which is all I needed it for), the keyboard volume controller still works and the sound quality is indistinguishable from previous. I plugged it in and within a few seconds it was recognised and working. All good

Does the job well.
Really, this device is so simple that not a lot needs to be said. Upon opening the box, there was the device itself, a few manuals and a little pouch to keep it in. All I had to do to get the thing working was plug it into my PC and bosh, the driver installed itself automatically. Within literal seconds, I was listening to music through my USB port in decent definition. The device has in input (microphone) and an output (headphones) and that’s all there is really. The build quality is great considering its made of metal and I could see the product really coming in handy when no 3.5mm output was available.Simple.

Although inexpensive, is well made and provides 3.5mm audio function via USB perfectly
Bought this as the built in headphone jack in my desktop broke and this was a less hassle solution to trying to get manufacturer to repair. The adapter is well made for a small gadget - nice solid metal feel not cheap plastic. Also comes well packaged with a small pouch for safekeeping, and a custom made carboard box with properly printed instructions not cheap badly translated photocopy. All in all small things but gives sense of quality and care in producing and selling product. Oh and it worked perfectly in my Windows 10 PC.

Great buy to cure motherboard driver issue
Had an issue with a recent windows 10 PC update nor recognising my motherboards sound card driver any longer resulting in only sound output to the front pc connectors. Tried this as a last resort, plugged it in to a spare usb port, connected my speaker lead, Windows recognised the device loaded the driver and sound appeared! For the money its a steal! Sound quality appears fine so I'm well pleased.

Works great, looks great.
I bought this as my headphone jack in my laptop broke and I didn't want the hassle of replacing it. This works instantly and looks great; much better looking than alternatives in the same price range. It does stick out a little from the port, but this isn't a big deal. Still, would definitely recommend.
