Good Laptop, Great Price, Nice Specs
So far so good. Laptop functions as expected. Seems to have decent speed and efficiency. Battery life could be a little better - but I would say that is the case for a lot of laptops, not just Lenovo brand. Weight is good. Setup was rather simple and straight-forward. Great laptop for the price with the beefy specs. Would highly recommend if you need a short term replacement, if approved, for a work laptop (e.g., to use as you await a new work laptop).

Great laptop for great price
Needed a personal/work laptop for home office and this was right price around $500. Never had Lenovo usually a Dell guy but so far we love it!

Useful for a variety of activities
I use this laptop primarily for school activities and for browsing the web. It's very smooth when running internet browsers, programs like the Microsoft Office Suite, and some other social/leisure apps that I have. It's also powerful enough to run some of my more demanding games that my old laptop struggled with. When I first got it, it would reliably give me a 6- or 7-hour battery life. Lately I've been having some battery issues where the life is significantly shorter (2-3 hours). The issue seems to improve when I close background apps, but it's disappointing since I previously did not have that problem at all. Keep that in mind if you're intending to be on the go with this laptop.I'm quite satisfied with the camera quality and the built-in privacy shutter is a nice touch.Overall, other than the battery problem, I would probably recommend this laptop.

Worst out-of-the-box laptop purchase ever.
This laptop had a good price and good features and it was coming from a well-spoken of brand. So it was a no-brainer when I bought one for my daughter for college and then later bought one for myself for personal use. This review is about my laptop and my experiences. All was well for a number of days. About a month after I got it I started it up one day and on the "Lenovo" screen I noticed a white dot in the top right hand quadrant of the screen. A dead pixel. I have NEVER in all my years experienced a dead pixel in a laptop that I owned. I contacted customer service and the experience was frustrating to say the least, with talk about me having to pay for repairs. For a laptop that is still under warranty. It so happened that the last day for returning this to Amazon was the very day I discovered this issue and I am currently out of the country for work. Returning it would be impossible. I have already decided, based on my experience so far, that this would be my first and last Lenovo. But wait...there's more. I have now noticed that occasionally, for no reason, the touchscreen feature will just disable itself. I am not a heavy user of touchscreens on laptops, but if the feature is there no matter how infrequently I use it, it should work every time I call upon it. That's seemingly not the case here. Now, I have been using computers since the 1980s (MS DOS days, baby) and I have owned and built several over the years. Never have I ever had to do a BIOS update. Until this pile of junk. At the moment I have zero confidence in this thing and will be looking to replace it very soon. I am just really worried now that my daughter and at least one other person who also bought one because of my purchases may have to face some of these issues. Many people look to me for advice on all sorts of products and devices and now, my integrity may be on the line. It's no fault of mine because I had no reason to suspect this would have been the case, but it has happened and I am now putting it out there. Caveat emptor.I cannot recommend this item. I will be back to add to this review if and when more things start to happen. I'm at peace with the idea of throwing it away and I may very well do that at some point down the road. We'll see.

Great Computer, Good Experience With Seller
The computer came quickly and works like a charm. Had to adjust settings to get the most out of the battery, the default settings=2 hours of battery life, but with a quick google search I found how to turn off certain background apps and switch from the default "intelligent cooling mode" to "battery saver" using the Levono vantage app as opposed to the systems own power settings. The laptop is fast and efficient for school and can handle older games like Fallout New Vegas like a charm. I bought the touch version for the IPS, 300 nit screen because I did not want to settle for a tn display at 250 nits that you see in some over Levono models. I don't use the touch features, but the display is decent and bright enough for what I need it for. All in all, I have no regrets about buying this model. With all that said, make sure this is the model you want. Returning this due to buyer's remorse comes with a hefty restocking fee. It's not an item you can just return for the heck of it because of Amazons overly lenient return policy. (It really is, I used to work as a Customer Service Supervisor at Whole Foods and after Amazon acquired us, I went from supervising a team of cashiers to doing hundreds of Amazon returns a day. Hard to say we were a green company with all the packaging waste we went through on a daily basis). But that is all beside the point, I personally had a great experience with this computer and this seller. Highly recommended!

Touch Screen Doesn't Always Work!
I wanted a touch screen, but this one's screen does not always respond to touching it. If you use the touch feature to read something on line, and within that story there is a link, about 100% of the time you cannot touch the link to open it. You must use the cursor! Didn't Lenovo catch this at some point? The other thing I don't like too much is not being able to use a single key to turn the volume on & off. You must use the Fn and F1 keys simultaneously. If you are in a hurry to turn the sound off, and it isn't really bright in the room, it's annoying. Otherwise, for the price, it's OK. Also: if you use AOL, I can confirm that it DOES work with AOL Desktop Gold.
