I purchased this fitting for use with a Draper Water Butt Pump.OK, I had to buy a ¾ inch BSP socket but now I can use Hozelock fittings with this pump which are far superior to the fittings supplied with the pump.In the photo–Left to rightWater pump, brass socket, rubber washer and the adapter.Top to bottom-A old washing machine tee piece that I use in the water butt which allows the pump to divert water back into the water butt when the trigger on the watering lance is released so as to prevent possible over heating of the pump.Male ¾ Hozelock connectorFemale ¾ Hozelock connector

Use of genuine Hozlock parts and there are no leaks. Well worth the extra cost.

I bought this for a very specific scenario, which it turned out perfect for...I have a Hozelock automatic watering kit with a 'Select' timer unit.The timer only has connectors to fit a male threaded water tap (like more outside taps come with).I do plan to have an outside tap fitted, but I didn't have time to get it done before going away for a 2 week trip.So as a temporary solution I needed to connect the timer to the tap in our utility room sink and run the hose through an unused tumble dryer air vent out to the greenhouse just outside.Problem was that the sink has a mixer tap.I already use this tap with my Hozelock garden hose however and leave a Hozelock 'mixer tap to quicklock' connector attached for easy connection of the hose.So I need an adapter to fit the quicklock (bib style) attachment on the mixer tap at one end and the female screw fitting of the automatic timer at the other.I've got a box full of every Hozelock connector imaginable apparently, apart from one to make this connection, so was very pleased to find that such a connector does exist and was ablvaulable on Amazon.Fits perfectly and solved the puzzle.
