Too big, awkward, unintuitive.
I feel like whomever designed this has not tried to actually use this for painting. The whole thing is janky and feels cheap. It's also just way too big. There's 20 wells, which is cool in theory, but when most of my watercolor tubs are .4oz, you end up with mostly-empty container. Which is frustrating when I'm already dealing with a lack of space for painting. The whole thing would have been more effective to be half the size. The hinges come off too easily, and there's a weird plastic pail handle that just constantly gets in the way. Also, is it just me or does the product picture look like they just shoved some play-dough in to make it look like paint?

air tight paint palette with a tricky locking mechanism!
*WATCH THE VIDEO AT THE END OF THE PHOTOS IN DESCRIPTION*I've noticed a lot of people have mentioned the locking mechanism and how tricky it is...& It certainly is. If I hadn't watched the video I may have broke it. Once you get it, it's a nifty little painters friend. There aren't any instructions included either. So be sure to watch the video. I've not put any paint in the air tight palette yet but I have plans for it. So I can't speak for that yet other than visually & it seems to be appear that it should be airtight but id press the edges around each paint well doing the outside last. You can always put a small amount of paint inside for a few days to see what happens, which I plan to do before filling it up. Trial and error for correction. The paint palette cover is silicone which is covered by the hinged lockable (tricky lock) plastic cover that attaches to the water basin. The white palette cover also doubles as a mixing tray that attaches/latches to the bottom white tray to make the mixing surface twice as big. The 20 well paint palette is made up of 1oz wells. They were designed to carry plenty of paint, any kind of paint. I measured everything as seen in photos. Basically it measures 10.5(L)×9.5(W)×4(H)in. The water basin is fairly large, the biggest I've seen. If you own one of the smaller accordion style water basins, it's the same just bigger. A lot bigger actually. This is what I've been enjoying the most about this product. It has a 5 paint slot to store brushes of different sizes but the handles lay on top of the brush slots without removing them, so I'm glad the handles are removable for this specific reason. I've been using magic eraser sponges to clean the color rings around the inside of the water basin & the mixing trays. Since I have kiddos running around it's rare I use more than the eraser sponge. I never use chemical based substances, especially indoors! Or I wait until the next school day to clean the items outdoors. No issues so far. Instructions on the box would've been greatly appreciated, even a note with the video link on it would've been nice to have. I think this item would be great for any artist. I know it would be very helpful for art students weather they keep it in class or need it back and forth between class and home. I know I wish something like this when I was going back and forth. It's an awesome item for painters I just suggest their locking mechanism to be easier to figure out.

Defective x2
Would be great if it didn't have holes in both the palette and the water bucket

Sturdy but hard to snap back together
This is a nice sized bowl for water to use while painting but it is very hard to snap together when you need to reassemble it. The product was much larger than I expected. Feels very sturdy

Good Buy, but Not Perfect
The media could not be loaded. I can see the vision with this palette combo, and enjoy it. Once you figure out the lock it isn't hard to use, and paired with a mister you will keep your paints workable for some time.It is a bit big to fit in a craft tote, but it is definitely still portable and I prefer it to err of the side of being too large than not enough. Plenty of room in both palette and basin, which I typically use around the house to soak palettes. My one complaint would probably be with how often I have to clean the seal insert, but it makes sense. Also, I was using gouache in the pictures.

A bit frustrating to use.
Everything seals well and it looks nice. What I didn't expect was that it's very difficult to open and to shut back up. The clips that keep it closed are incredibly stiff and I wasn't sure I was pressing in the right way or that I wouldn't break something. When putting it back together, it's surprisingly easy to turn a part the wrong direction and it's necessary to lift the handles to put one part into place and to have the handle in the closed position for another part. The handles also get in the way during use.Probably look elsewhere, and if you have any issues with joint pain or finger strength, this palette is not for you.

A lot larger than expected.
This palette surprised me with how large it is. It is actually bigger than some of the smaller (18-24 color) jelly gouache sets that I own, except this palette is more square than rectangular.Unfortunately, it arrived damaged. One of the clear plastic tabs that is supposed to be clasped onto with one of the closing latches had broken off at some point before it arrived. It still closes very tightly. I would make the following suggestion: if you aren’t sure how something is supposed to work, don’t try to use force. Instead, approach it gently until you are sure you understand it, and then only apply as much strength as is necessary. It is large enough to hold a lot of paint. I’d guess each pan could hold approximately 30 ml. The shapes of the pans are not uniform in shape: those that flank the sides and corners are different. I doubt that you could squeeze the jelly gouache individual containers into these pans. In fact, I’m trying to figure out the best way to utilize this palette. I guess if you were on a road trip, or more precisely, taking your art practice on the road, then this would come in handy. Especially if you planned out your paint colors in advance, and they did not all belong to one specific, pre existing paint set but rather one that you needed to pick and choose from an assortment of tubes and sets. Or if you had premixed all kinds of colors. It seems pretty airtight, even with the broken clasp. I have not yet experimented with it with media like acrylics.
