HDMI Type C Hub Adapter for Switch, 1080P USB C Hub HDMI Converter Cable for Switch (Black)

A well priced product that does what it claims but requires the right power adapter and hdmi cable to work correctly.A nicely made item that feels sturdy, rugged and solidly built out of aluminium. The hub adapter works perfectly as a Nintendo Switch dock (as of Jan 2019) as long as a suitable usb-c power adapter and compatible hdmi cable is used.I purchased a third party switch ac adapter that was listed as being rated the same as the official Nintendo power adapter but it wouldn’t work so obviously wasn’t as advertised. The Switch screen would go blank as if the video was being output via the hdmi lead but no picture reached the tv. I tested the device on multiple TVs and using multiple adapters and hdmi cables. Oddly it wouldn’t work with two third party hdmi 1.4 cables that I tested - even though they should work perfectly well with 1080p signals including 3D and even 4K at 24fps. But it works perfectly with genuine hdmi 2.0 cables (like the amazon basics hdmi 2.0 cable) and the genuine Nintendo Switch power adapter. The hub also works with the MacBook Pro 15” 2018 power adapter, but that’s a high power adapter and using it supposedly risks damaging the Switch due to the power deliver (P.D.) function potentially providing too much juice. I don’t know how accurate that is, but the Switch and this hub clearly require a plug that’s at least as good/powerful as the official Nintendo one to work correctly.It wouldn’t be fair to blame this product for the plug and hdmi cable requirements that are a result of Nintendo’s product design, so as this hub works perfectly as a very portable, well made and fairly cheap Switch Dock I can only recommend it.

This is a fantastic piece of kit that does exactly what it's supposed to, and even things it wasn't designed for. For example, it works with the Steam Deck. It's not exactly plug and play, though, because the power cables and HDMI lead you use are a factor. A stock Switch charger will keep a Nintendo Switch charged without any loss of battery even whilst docked, but it won't keep a Steam Deck topped up. So make sure you're using the relevant power cable for whatever device you plan to use. Structurally, this thing is tiny, but solid. I've been using it for years as my travel go-to, and it's never failed me once. The USB port also comes in handy; for the Switch, it charges controllers, for the Deck it can allow for extended storage.

I brought this adapter to carry in a slim line case when travelling between houses.After using it for a few months I have been impressed. I have the black metal version which is well made with a decent finish. I have used it on both TVs and computer monitors with equally good results in 1080P. When coupled with a good quality power supply and HDMI cable it runs perfectly well.I have also tried many of the Switch and WiiU accessories with the USB port and I have had no problems with them. The 4 port Gamecube controller hub with all controllers plugged in caused no issue (It can be rather temperamental when plugged in to the dock sometimes). No lag or disconnections. The standard USB network adapter for the Switch also works with no issues, being stable and giving good speed results (As good as the dock).I have seen very few downsides to this device, its lack of a second USB port limits what accessories can be attached to it (A number of Nintendo items use two, one for data and another for rumble) but that is a trade off for the size. Mine has incredibly tight ports that require considerable effort to plug anything into, I prefer a good connection rather than a loose one but these are a little too tight since I sometimes worry when having to force a cable in.Overall, I consider this a worth while purchase that does everything I wanted it for. It is definitely better value than buying a second dock to lug around with you.

Brought this with a power supply from thisSeller. Delivery on time and well. However, the adaptor did not work? The power supply worked fine through it, it charges the Nintendo Switch but no image or audio through the tv? Sadly I had to return the item. Positive: it is a nice small adaptor for travel just wished what I received worked. I will look for another one on Amazon.

Wanted an extra Switch docking station for the TV down stairs to easily move the console between rooms - was surprised and a little shocked to find the official unit was over £130 so was please to find this at a fraction of the costInstallation was simple as it has the same connectors and it works the same as a dock - just plug into the Switch USB-C port and off you goPurchase of a separate power supply will of course be needed but these can also be found at a fraction of the cost of the OE unit

I brought a switch not long ago and out of the box the dock doesn’t work. I ordered this in the hopes of using it temporarily while I sent the dock off to Nintendo for repair. I use my switch almost daily and I still haven’t bothered sending the dock off and don’t think I will! This does a great job of projecting to the tv and it’s so small and portable it fits in my travel case so I can take it anywhere!

I now have two of these adapters. I needed an adapter to use with my work laptop and already had one of these for my son's Nintendo Switch. I can tell you that it works fine with both a Dell XPS 15 and a Switch and the build quality is high.This is a particularly good choice for a Switch as it will work with a standard phone charger. I've seen a friend's adapter which works with a Switch, but only by using the power supply that came with the Switch - that's a lot less convenient for portabilty.

Fonctionne super bien ! Seul point négatif me câble est assez rigide du coup pas très pratique. Mais ça fait le job sans probleme pour une Switch

Impossible de brancher la Switch à ma TV avec cet adaptateur. Ca marchait un peu au début puis plus rien ... dommage car je ne peux plus le renvoyer à Amazon pour me faire rembourser.
