I LOVE this cage, and so do my pigs!
I'm a long-time pig owner and have tried a lot of cages over the years (C&C, midwest, custom etc). I wanted to wait a few weeks of trying the GuineaLoft out before reviewing, and I've gotta say I LOVE this cage!ROOMY & MODULER:Great size for a pair of pigs. The walls are straight up so you get every inch of the 2x4' size. I'll be getting a second one soon-- it would be easy to attach a pair of them, and I just saw that official connector hardware is coming out too. I like that this is an evolving product really designed to meet the needs of pigs and those who love them.SHORT, CLEAR WALLS:The acrylic walls are crystal clear with little slots on the upper halves for pigs to lean on for the very important task of begging for treats. The walls are 10" tall which I find to be tall enough that they can't jump out (and I do have a jumper) and low enough that it's still easy for my 5'3" self to reach in and play with them/clean even with the cage 3' off the ground.I absolutely love that I can see the girls going about their little business with no coroplast in the way. It's like a whole new view into their lives. Anecdotally, this also seems to work in reverse-- I have two pigs who are extremely shy, and I honestly think they've been a bit less jumpy being in here, possibly because they can see me coming.EASY TO CLEAN:A proprietary liner system gave me pause when considering this purchase, but honestly I love it, and it will work with your preferred bedding. The cage liner has two parts-- the mat, which goes under everything to catch spills, and the cage bottom, which is the waterproof part that the pigs and their mess come in contact with. I've used the same mat for almost 3 weeks, because NOTHING gets past the disposable bottom! You could probably go without it, but it does catch mess from taking pigs out, adding hay, etc. You won't NEED to replace this often, but you can also toss it to make for even easier cleanup. As for the cage bottoms, they are great-- it even handled the mess of 4 pigs for a few days without any leakage, puddles, or smell. I have physical constraints that make fabric liner maintenance tough for me, so I love that I can use shavings, roll it up and toss it; to me, the cost of the replacements is worth it for the ease and accessibility. That said, there's no reason this wouldn't work with your preferred fleece or bath mat setup, which would further extend the life of the cage bottom. I found I've had to use less bedding, which has offset the cost of liners a bit. You could probably clean and reuse the cage bottoms a few times due to the waterproofing. The cage came with some wet wipes, but a damp cloth will get the walls perfectly clean with almost no effort. Not sure how this will play out in the long term with micro-scratches from normal daily wear and tear (which happens to any cage), but so far so good.AFFORDABLE:Amazing price for a cage of this size. There is the recurring cost of the liners, but as mentioned above, you can mitigate these costs if money is an issue.LOOKS GREAT:No shade to C&C cages, but personally I've always really disliked how they look, and they're not even the "ugliest" of the appropriately sized cages. Obviously making sure the piggies have a proper home is Priority #1, so I've just "dealt" with having cages I find to be an eyesore-- no more! I'm thrilled to have something that is good for my girls and also looks nice in my home. I'll be replacing my second cage with another GuineaLoft soon.CONSIDERATIONS:The cage feels sturdy for what it is (a thin acrylic frame with no bracing back/bottom) and the included hardware is obviously good quality, but I still have concerns about breakage over the long term, since the cage does flex dangerously when I move it to clean. This might be an issue of my technique. The cage system doesn't currently have options for storage/stands, so if you'll need your own stand if you'd like to have the cage off the ground. It also has no loft/second floor option at present.TLDR/CONCLUSION:A fantastic pig enclosure! I'm so glad I found this and took the chance on it, and I absolutely recommend it.

Very thoughtful product
The package insert says that designers are guinea pig owners too, and after putting it together, I believe it. It was very carefully and thoughtfully packaged, some of the nicest packaging I’ve ever seen. They even reused little acrylic circles that are punched out of the panel design, as a little tool you can use to scrape off the plastic film that protects the acrylic panels. It totally worked! My 12 year old son put most of it together with almost no help for me. The directions were very simple and easy to understand, and the construction is intuitive. I had my doubts about the thin waterproof paper tray that it sits on, which is disposable. I thought it would leak. But after four days of two guinea pigs in there, it has not leaked. I recommend adding some old cloth rags or shredded paper bedding to their fave sleeping area, just for comfort. I also put a folded up paper bag in the corner they like to pee in the most, and then I just roll it up and throw it away. And, like I said, even though the bag was pee-soaked after four days, the waterproof paper tray underneath was unblemished. I’m going to order more for when I get scruffy of course, but I might not even have to replace it as often as once a week. It is SO much easier than cleaning my old CNC cage with a big fabric quilted GuineaDad pad that needed to be laundered and that my washer would refuse to spin half the time because it was so heavy! Besides the cleaning factor, the cage is beautiful and attractive, with a whimsical design, just the right height, and we can see the pigs and the pigs can see us. My pigs drink out of a heavy stoneware bowl, so I don’t need to worry about attaching a water bottle to the acrylic panels, which I read can be tricky. Altogether a great purchase, worth the cash, and I’m so glad I found it!

Bought another
My table wasn't big enough so waited to get a different coffee table to get a second. Guinea pigs are so much friendlier. They let me pet them more. Rhey squad more because rhey can see me. Kids love to watch them. Super worth it. Liners fit exactly. Makes clean up not so much of a chore. You can get a tunnel for more space but I have two alphas and don't connect them but they can see eachother and have mellowed out a lot. They can smell eachother and see eachother but not fight. Easier to pick them up to play and set them back without the risk of jumping because we have to reach. I can sit on the floor and we talk. Easier to feed and water. I loooove the hole placement. I used to have a hammock but the walls are too flexible for that. So they get houses. Things like toys and food dishes they can't flip go on easier because of the holes. We love it. Reasonable price for all rhe benefits. I did reusable and washable felt for a while and it just ruins th washer, so not worth it to me. Just washing a soft bed or pee pads is enough.

Wonderful for Two Piggies
This is a really great guinea pig enclosure! It looks really high end, and is a breeze to clean. The disposable mat really does a fantastic job, I've had zero leakage (I swap mine out every weekend), and it keeps about 95% of the bedding contained, with just the occasional bits of paper being flung over the sides. Assembling was easy if a bit time consuming, took me about 30 minutes. This setup works really, really well for families with kids who may struggle with more traditional enclosures that have latches, I really love the easy access. This would not be a great solution for a family with cats or other pets who might have the potential to harm your guinea pigs, since it is totally open on top and has very shallow sides. I did struggle a little initially with finding the right accessories for this, since most are designed for wire cages, but this has a lot of well-placed cutouts and I've found that with a little trial and error you can pick out well-fitting water bottles, hammocks, mangers, etc.
