ATEN make the best KVM
Little-known secret of the KVM industry: cheap switches lack the electronics to "hold" a computer when it is not selected, resulting in dropped connections, and having to reboot.ATEN KVMs are better quality, and include the extra circuitry to fool the non-selected computers into thinking that there is still a monitor connected, which leads to more reliable operation.

Currently the best choice
I have been using the 4 port IOGEAR equivalent of this, for a year and this is a notable improvement.There are subtle/in-between the lines use-cases that make KVM shopping difficult.This KVM switches between a work computer on a DELL docking station (port 2) and a personal computer, well. I don't get screen refresh/recalibrating lag and is seamless.lag time between switching is ~3-4 secondsThis is the KVM to get for more reasons than can be put in a review. Simple and efficient.
