This buckwheat has an excellent flavor and is easy to cook. It has a great consistency and is not too mushy or too dry--but just right. I found that I didn't have to roast it beforehand for flavor because it has a lovely flavor as is. This is an excellent product, and Eden is a very fine brand.

This is great for making my gluten free buckwheat bread. A kitchen staple for me.

I really like it because it's organic. I cook it longer by adding a little more water each time until it's softer for oatmeal like consistency. It looks like a little green nut. I popped a couple in my mouth and chewed them up. If you cook it according to directions it has a soft nuttiness to it which is good to. The key is seasoning it to be even a side dish. Just a healthy option that I'm happy to add to my pantry.

I bought because I’m vegan and gluten-free and I wanted to try it. It is high in protein and vegans must get protein from sources other than meat. It cooks well and is easy to prepare! It is healthy and doesn’t cost much. A healthy cereal. You do have to get used to the taste though because the taste is different.

I toasted the buckwheat to make kasha.It cooked up beautifully.

I followed the cooking instructions, but both times I made this I ended up with a gross kind of mushy texture which was really unappealing. I have no idea if that is how buckwheat should be--never had it before. I didn't like the flavor all that well either. This is a hard pass for me, it made me feel almost nauseated from the texture, but I ate it anyway so it wasn't wasted. Nope--not again. I'll stick with bulgur which is way better!!
