From the picture in the ad, I thought it was about the size of a pen but actually it is about one inch thick - about the size of a fat cigar.As you can see it comes in two halves that screw together and the extra fittings not being used are stored inside.It will be handy when I do my next batch of reloading. Case prep is important and often ignored by beginners.I recommend this product.

This is a great tool for case prep. I mostly hand load now and really like the simplicity and ease of use. It works on so many different cases so no need to buy a tool for each caliber. It’s larger than I expected but that’s not a bad thing. It feels well made and should last a long time if taken care of. I would recommend

I'm a casual reloader so I don't have a big stock of reloading tools. It's important that the ones I have feel right and are of decent quality.The Ludex case Prep tool takes care of all the preparation steps of reloading brass before resizing. It includes large and small pocket reamers, large and small pocket cleaners, and inside and outside deburring tools. The ends are chamfered to ensure that you have them squarely over or inside the surface.The tool is substantial, with a diameter of about 22mm so it fits comfortably in the hand, and a diamond pattern knurled surface makes it easy to grip firmly. It unscrews in the middle so you can store all the tool bits inside, so you won't lose them. The tools are steel, and should last a long time working brass cases. These have multiple blades and are much more precise than the common single blade case prep tools.

I've been reloading for over 20 years and have used either the RCBS hand tool or the Lyman case prep station. When I'm only doing 25pc of brass I usually use the RCBS case prep hand tool but the diameter of the tool makes it tedious to use for a long period of time. This Ludex tool is MUCH more comfortably to use and is light weight. It includes the inside and outside chamfering tool, as well as primer hole cleaning and reaming tools for both large and small boxer style primer pockets. The intent is to store the primer tools in the body of the tool....Don't. It makes a lot of noise. Overall, just as functional and more comfortable than the RCBS at a much lower price.

I got this as a gift for a buddy of mine who reloads, so depending on his assessment, I may change this review in the future. However, I can rate this on some other points. First, the construction looks like someone took care in the machining of the various bits - all measured out to with industry specs for the calibers they are set up for. The aluminum body comes in 2 pieces so that you can store the unused bits inside, so the set stays together. It's thick enough to get a good grip and keep a steady pressure when turning. The steel bits may need oiling after use as they look like uncoated steel. Overall, this is a pretty nice tool, and I like that you can use one tool on multiple calibers, and not need so many extra tools.

The aluminum machined body is more substantial than I realized -- about 7/8" in diameter. The 'blades' are strong and sharp. I had no issues quickly removing brass. The extra bulk of the handle is actually welcome as you need to be careful when using a hand tool to keep it 90-degrees to avoid digging a channel or creating weak spots. Says it works from .17 to .45 although I only tried on middle calibers. The extra bits store in the handle which is nice although a bit loud/annoying as they are just banging around loose. I cut down a bit of the foam it was packed with and stuffed the chamber so its more stable/quiet.

I am just getting into reloading and picked this up as a starter piece. First off, I was surprised at it's size. The pictures made think it is the size of a large pen but it is much larger than that. It has a nice large handle that is easy to great and will minimize hand fatigue if using it a lot. There are multiple tools that it came with for different calibers. The tool are also large to make them easier to use also. Overall I am really happy with how nice this item is.

Works great, also is fatter than you think which is actually fantastic for holding onto all day prepping casings. I also like that all the attachments store inside it!
