Not as photo
The item is not as the image, the flex enters the socket strip on the right, not the left as shown in the photo, making it useless for the application I have. I'm not going to queue at the post office to return an £8 item and catch COVID-19, but this was a waste of time and money.

Photo is correct - excellent item
This a review of the black 6 socket version - Not the white! Some here say the cable is shown entering the left in the advertising - but that's wrong - it is clearly shown entering the right hand side on the black version when the sockets are the correct way up.This is a no-nonsense extension, just what I wanted - no USBs - no "surge protection" (I never trust that in cheap extensions). The the live and neutral are well guarded against curious probing! The switch is a nice touch if you want to isolate.Construction is robust and doesn't feel cheap. There are 2 screw mounting holes on the back - pretty standard for extensions. It is rated at 3250W maximum - 13A - 220-250V.I ordered 2 and checked each socket with my tester - all passed, so that's good! The price is excellent value for 6 sockets.I can heartily recommend!

Great for my needs.
Absolutely perfect for my needs:i.e. l have a vintage Hi-Fi separates system and each of the four units uses quite a lot of electricity even when in their stand-by modes (9 watts a piece), so at the flick of just one switch on this extension lead (the main switch being inaccessible), l am able to power down all of them completely after switching off the system via the remote control. This is so much better than having to flick an off switch for each and everyone of the units. Btw, l was really surprised to see that most extension products have an individual off switch for each socket (or none at all) and that hardly any have just the one switch like the one l am now reviewing? For me then, this is the perfect solution.

Great value for money and works well.
I think this is a great value for money extension lead.I needed one which has a detachable plug (not a moulded on plug which has to be cut off) so I could feed the cable through the back of our kitchen unit without cutting a big hole. This arrives simply packaged and looks smart, I like the single big green switch which illuminates when it has power.Plugs go in smoothly and feel secure when inserted. In other words it does its job well at a great price.I hope you find my review helpful.

Received a faulty product
Holy sh*t lol what a headache, a waste of time and money. Ended up throwing the hunk o'junk away. First, it didn't work at all. No LED indicator or power running through whatsovever. I only had my tower and monitor plugged in. Then it suddenly decided to work so I thought, happy days. But after 10 minutes of using my computer, my fans decided to go beserk and my temps went sky high. Never had a problem with my rig until today. There's no way the power draw was over the capacity of this lead. Swapped back to my old crusty extension lead and problem was solved. What a let down.

Cheap appearance - Switch up forON and down for OFF & blows trip
Just received this and find that the weight and look of the mat black plastic makes it appear cheap and not nice to look at. It looks like some recycled plastic item. Its only a 6 gang extension socket but it looks more suitable in a workshop than in one's home. Horrible finish and lightweight gives no confidence in the product when viewed. However performance and reliability could turn out to be good, who knows and the single switch to turn off all sockets is just what I wanted. Perhaps its just the look of the thing for in home use that installs little or no confidence. After all things that look great cosmetically can be crap! After careful use in study since purchased I must report:Well I forgot to say that the switch is "upside down" Switches up for ON & down for OFF! (With lead mounted with earth pin at top as normal in house sockets - confusing) Switch now occasionally BLOWS mains trip. Could be dangerous?? Sorry not impressed. Sandy

Arrived broken, I fixed them and they work fine
Right, so not one, but BOTH of them were broken. Just so people are aware. One of them had broken plug pins and the other one had white plastic missing from the corner. I'm not one for fussing around so I just replaced the plug and rewired it. The other one still works fine it's just exposed on one corner. However if you're looking to buy them in one piece, just don't. However they work so that's the point

green light means you left it on
Last thing you do is walking round looking for things left on. The green light means you just switch it off and there is no power to anything left plugged in. Simple. Why does it take a german design to fix a british standard extension socket? The switch is down for off , up for on, like all important supply switches like mains , gas supply etc etc.
