The product is defective, so it is returned to the seller.

This unit does not produce enough output
This cooktop was made for 240v and they put a 120v plug onto it. It doesn't get hot enough on a 120v circuit to even boil a pot of water. I put it on a special 240v outlet to try it and it worked well. I cannot recommend this product to anyone stuck with North America's anemic electrical supply.
